Our family is greatly relieved to have the correct collar to match our in ground electric fence. The rechargeable collar was easy to set up, the directions in the booklet were understandable, and our dog has stayed home instead of running off with the UPS guy!
These work great! We have 4, 1 for each (large sized) dog. The only complaint I have is the little rubber piece that protects the charging port often falls off and is sometimes hard to push into the collar after charging. Our original collar is about 4 years old and we haven't had any issues with it so far!
Had to order a replacement collar for our In-Ground electric fence. It was easy to order and you knew exactly what you needed to get because of the informative description attached to each item. Collar works great and our dogs are safe because of it.
While the system all works great, we had to replace the collar after a few years because the plastic cracked over multiple areas- which could be a safety issue. Not because of damage, but just due to the material aging. Company should work with manufacture to get a better / durable material.
The collars can't withstand rough wrestling between 2 dogs. Replacement collars are over priced by 2 times. The overall system is the best I have seen and this is my 3rd attempt to find a system that my LG dogs would respect... and I will not need to look beyond this system.
I had the same issue as many other people in here. The collar strap loop broke off the collar. I called customer service and was told this isn't really a manufacturer defect but they would replace it this one time. I'm happy they did so but if this is a continuous problem and covered as I see was the response, why just one time? Crossing my fingers it doesn't happen again. This has kept my dog contained but at this price I can't afford to keep replacing them if it continues to happen.
I've used the product(s) for 10+ years; dogs were 50+ lbs. The product worked well; training the dogs via the instructions, flags etc. is highly advisable. I was hoping to purchase new collars for my small bred dogs. The collar is available in ONE SIZE only; it's heavy and bulky for small breeds i.e. <= 10 lbs.
I've been buying these about every six months. That's because they work great for a while, but then start going off randomly. It really bothers my dog when she's getting shocked for no reason. It's also pretty expensive to replace them that often. I'm beginning to think I should just put in a physical fence.
I have been using a Yard Max underground fence to contain my Great Dane for about 3 years. The wiring itself is great! Love it! Over this last winter her collar just fell apart! One of the prongs broke off and the collar itself is completely frayed. It’s no longer useable and not only do I need to replace it but I can’t find what I need in any store locally despite the fact that they sell the kits for the fencing. Seriously disappointing.
We have had this system for 4 years and I am now buying our 3rd SET of collars! I have two German Shepard’s that play hard so I expected to replace one or two, but this is ridiculous!! Currently looking at other systems due to this issue. Would be a great product, but I can’t afford to keep this up!
