That was the worst thing irish spring did. The original scent was the best. I don't know why they think they needed a change. The new formula has a strange smell. Really dries out your skin.
I've used Irish spring original for decades and loved how it left me feeling clean and with no soapy residue. I but the bulk packaging to save money and time, but the most recent bulk pack started irritating my skin. It was most noticeable on my face and neck and left tiny bumps and dry patchy skin. After determining that it wasn't from other causes I compared the labeling with an old box I still had on hand and was surprised to find that not only had the graphics changed, but the main ingredients were quite different. I stopped using it and switched to another brand and noticed almost immediate relief. I wish they hadn't changed the formula as now I have to find a new brand that is still inexpensive while not being completely irritating to my skin.
Misleading branding of 'Original Clean'... Nothing original about it. The *New Coke* version is horrible. Perfume odor is too strong, bars break down way too easily when wet. The shape of the 4.0 Oz bars are cumbersome to handle. Bring back the true original formula back to production. Nothing was wrong with the previous version. And such a misleading label for what is obviously not an 'Original' offering.
Why did you change the Original soap? I used to love the scent and now I can't stand it. I've used Irish spring for the past 45 years and it makes me really sad that I have to find a new brand.
I've been using only the "Real" original Irish Spring since I was a teen, so 40+ years. When the store stopped carrying it, I tried the new Original Clean, and can't stand it, the smell is awful and so is the flaxseed oil. I ordered a 20 pack online that showed the actual original, big yellow stripe, and they sent me the Original Clean. Nope, it's going back tomorrow. I understand adding new products to your line, but to change a proven winner, and still call it Original, is a bad business move. I'll be looking for something else now.
Why did you mess with a good product and made new ones with flaxseed oils and aloe. I did not know the original product was being discontinued. I was on my last bar of the original and purchased the one with flaxseeds oil, had an allergic reaction, returned what I had let. purchased the aloe and had the same reaction. I tried ordering online by the picture of the original soap but received the wrong product, twice. If it is discontinued why show a picture of the original (old) product? I have been to many stores and no luck on finding any. Let me know if there are any in your warehouse we can buy? What were you all thinking? Bring back the original Irish Spring soap.
I purchased this by mistake looking for the original Irish Spring Deodorant Soap I've been buying for years. I hate it! It's slimy and smells terrible. If you want to change your product that's one thing, but calling it “Original Clean” to trick people is another. You've lost a customer! Oh and this new product is TERRIBLE!
Ive used Irish spring for 30+yrs but not anymore. I just used my last true original bar of Irish spring and discovered you changed formulas, Thanks to corporate hotshots ruining a legendary product, most likely to shave a half of a penny off per bar. I just bought 8 bars of this crap and im gonna throw it in the garbage. It stinks worse than toilet bowl cleaner, its slimy and melts faster, its not even the same color! Please go back, i would pay twice the price for the true original.
Manufactured under a new name from 2021 : Irish Spring Original Clean: 1. Smell changes, 2. Soap does not wash off well. 3. Need to shower more often than when using previous soap. My body itches. I really miss products manufactured before 2021.
We've been using Irish Spring since its very first advertisement in the 1970s. Because we love it so much, we buy it in bulk. But, this last purchase was truly the worst. It smells rancid. It feels slimy. It doesn't clean. The packaging falls apart because it is saturated with whatever this bar of 'something' is made of. It is NOT SOAP. It doesn't clean. And, when I breath in the noxious vapors emanating from it, I get a severe allergic reaction. I just touched one of the bars and my hands stink. The stink won't wash off with any other soap in our house. Whoever dreamed up this new formulation should lose their job.
