I love this. I grind all my fresh herbs and add about a 1/2 to 1 tbsp of virgin olive oil. I store them in the freezer in a ziploc bags marked with the herb. When I need that herb, it is in one tsp to two tsp quantities. It takes less time with my receipes because I already have the herb and have the quantity needed. I also love to grind the fresh coffee beans as needed. If I am having company. I grind two to three cups of the coffee beans and store in freezer bags in freezer for the weekend. I am ready to make two to three pots during breakfast. Comes apart and put in dishwasher.
I bought a couple of coffee grinders before the KRUPS. One of the was the Mr. Coffee which was very hard to unscrew the top, I didn't like it. I watched a couple of videos on YouTube before purchasing the KRUPS and I came across a video of a lady using the KRUPS vortex with one hand and recording the video with other hand. I was blown away to the fact of how easy it was to unscrew the cup. I ordered right away. When I opened it and used it, it did not disappoint. It very easy to use, it's powerful, and it's silent. I highly recommend it.
I've never had a coffee grinder before. I did my research before making a decision. There were cheaper and pricier items. I made my decision based on the reviews AND the consistent comments about how quiet this grinder is. It is quiet, price is good. So happy I made this choice.
This is a nice alternative to purchasing a high-end conical burr grinder. Very affordable and seems to be built well. My only negative on the design is the top. Because of the construction of the top, moisture is retained between the plastic sections and takes an extremely long time to dry out. Other than that, I really like the results using this to grind my coffee beans. Sure there is a small amount of inconsistency in the grinds and a little static produced by the blade, but overall I am very pleased. This grinder is very quiet and cleaning it is extremely easy. So nice being able to grind only what coffee I need for each brew, which gives me great freshness and deep flavor every time! Would definitely recommend this grinder if you don’t want to spend big money on a coffee shop grinder.
Our Bodum grinder was on the way out, so we took a chance on the Krups. Without a doubt the Krups is the best grinder I've owned. Great capacity to hold enough beans to make a full pot, unlike the Bodum. About 80 percent quieter, and I love how the basket unsrews to pour grounds in the coffee pot or French press. This is a superior grinder. 100 percent recommended.
I purchased a Krups grinder several years ago to use with my granddaughter bath bomb business and it still works great! However, I recently purchased an expresso machine so I needed another grinder. This Krups grinder was just what I needed. It arrived in time considering all the ice a s snow we just got. Assembly was easy. I love that it has a removable cup and an a separate lid for when I have leftover ground beans. I can set it aside and keep the grounds fresh for the next day. Yes, there is a separate plastic lid to keep ground or whatever extra herbs in the removable cup! The drak gray color base matches perfectly with my new expresso machine. The stainless steel cup has marked measurements inside so you'll know the exact amount you need. The quality of the machine is represented by the brand that has made quality merchandise for years. It's quiet and fast! I highly recommend!
I like how it grinds the coffee up and it's quiet overall the lid hose water and it can't get it out and it's not like I'm will use this day after day but it will eventually have mold because I can't get the water out it's been sitting for 2 days and still there. The lid is poorly designed and he's a better design for washing and getting water out.
I thought I was pleased with this purchase, simple design and low cost option for better coffee grinding at home, however after only using this maybe a dozen times it has completely stopped working. The machine is getting power (the light comes on), it's cleaned out and in proper order with everything clicked in and secure, it just doesn't initiate grinding anymore. I am very frustrated and disappointed with this purchase.
Worked great, until it didn't. Horrible design flaw, something breaks underneath the grind cup and you are unable to remove it. So you are forced to deal with the awkwardness of having to pick the unit up to dump the grounds into your coffee basket. Sorry, but it's a hard no for me.
I bought this grinder because in the reviews at Amazon it was described as easy to clean. However, the cap has two layers and water and coffee get between them. It is close to impossible to get the water out. With water there, it will soon develop mould.
