I have three children. My oldest is 5 and I got this for her when she was born, then when I had my second, I got one for her room. The rain is what my girls love. It helps them go to sleep and block out any noises that may be around them. They both still use it. I just had my third child and I had trouble finding another one and finally found it at walmart.com (and I used site to store, which is GREAT). Before I found this, I researched others and even bought another and I still prefer this one. THe thing I like the best is that it stays on until you turn it off....many of the others play for 10 minutes then you need to go back and turn it back on. This does have the option to turn off after a certain time and it also will turn on with voice activation such as baby crying. Also it has a wide range for volume control. This is very helpful, when the baby cries at night, I turn up the machine in my older girls' rooms and they never wake up during the night. Overall I would recommend this, it has been great for 5 years. THe only thing that is not too good is the nightlight feature... the small bulb does not last long and needs replacing often. However, this is minor and we got a different nightlight instead. If you are buying it for the nightlight feature only, it is probably not the best way to go. Otherwise, I would recommend the sound machine over any other. I would also recommend getting rechargeable batteries. I have three sets that I have been rotating between machines for three years. That has saved a lot of $.
I dont know what I would do without this lullaby player. It is a life saver. My daughter will not sleep without it. We started using it when she first came home from the hospital and she is now 8 months and it is still my bestfriend. It is the best thing I ever spent money on and I would do it again in a heart beat. It goes everywhere she does. We stock up on AA batteries because we have to change then very often, since she uses it to take naps and at bedtime, but since it helps her sleep I would spend as much as I had to for batteries. I would recommend this to any parent that either has a fussy baby who doesn't sleep well or just wants something relazing for their little one. It is the best thing in the world...I love it, my husband loves it, and our daughter Grace loves it as well as everyone else who has babysit her for us. She doesn't leave home without it.
This is one of very few items that I recieved from my actual registry and I am so thankful. I like that it is child proof so that my three year old does not run out the batteries when I am not around. The option to play for as long as you need is great and it is voice activated so if your baby is fussy but still half asleep they will go right back down when it turns on.
This is a life saver for us. I received one as a gift and needed an extra for grandparent's house. No mobile or anything is this good. I tried them all. He LOVES it. But be prepared with AA batteries, if you use it like I do you'll change them about 2-3 times a week! I don't mind I love it!!!!
The only downs we have are there aren't that many songs, and if we rub against it too hard, it will come off the crib. We had a hard time getting her to sleep through the night while teething molers, and this seems to be the only thing that keeps her asleep. You have to have one if your baby doesn't sleep well.
It works very well. I bought it for my little brother and the moment I turn the ocean waves on, he is knocked OUT!!! I recommend that everyone has one of these!
We are very pleased with this CD player. For the price, it's GREAT! We use it every night when we put our son to sleep. He's 13 months now and it's still going strong.
I actually didn't even use it because when I put the batteries in and listened to it myself, it sounded like static covering up the sounds you're supposed to be hearing. Given it's only $20, I still wouldn't bother
It would be a nice product if the sound quality weren't so awful! The ocean waves and the rain just sound like static-not very soothing to a baby. The heartbeat and lullaby medly are acceptable, but certainly not great.
The sound on this product was of very poor quality. It did not sound soothing, it sounded like an AM radio station. I was not pleased at all with this product. I think it could use some improvement!
