This all in one has a very powerful motor and does a fantastic job... very well thought out design, and it does what it says it can do...it will mulch 10 bags of leaves into one bag......
If your in the market for a blower, and dont want to deal with adding a gas/oil mix and pull starting it everytime this is for you. I was amazed at the power it has and the customizable options. For the price (50 bucks) you cant beat it. Well worth the investment. The mulcher takes 10 bags of raked leaves and condenses it into 1 mulched bag of leaves. Worth every penny, highly recommended.
This product is helpful .The only problem with this product ,the ticking noise when turning off .Iam not sure if that noise is normal or not ?If it is normal ,the product is excellent but I have no way to find out ,that is why I 'm going to return it for replacement
I have another, heavier, B&D blower/vacuum, but had back surgery in October and needed a lighter model. I can handle this one better and it does a good job, as well. It doesn't seem to "mulch" the leaves as well as the other one, but it does suck them up and the bag is much easier to empty.
This is great! Have had ours 5 years and is a life saver when it comes to leaves. Also when you wear out the fan blade you can order another one on line for around 6 dollars! I use this everyday!
This product is awsome...i got and used it the same day. For the size of my yard i have three mature trees in it and lots of fallen leafs every fall. I used to try and rake them and bag them what a waste of time. Now i just Blow them, Mulch them and burn them saves me alot of time. This product is very easy to transform from a blower to a vacum/mulcher. I would recommend this item to anyone who wants something for this purpuse but does not want to hassel with an exspensive gas model.
yes this is a life saver I am living with my 84 year old mother with a big front yard full of leaves me and mother got done in about two hours and two bags of mulch leaves compares to four bags last year we could have been done quicker if the bag was bigger but all in all it did the job. thanks. so much.
The Black and Decker high performace "Leaf Hog" is a great way to get the most bang for your buck. You will be suprised by the power of both the blower and the vacuum in this fairly light weight, electric unit. Changing from one attachment to the other is very easy, with only one button to push. The vacuum/mulcher makes short order of large piles of leaves. If there is a down side to the unit, it is that the vacuum bag, which is slung over the shoulder, is a little small and needs to be emptied frequently. I have learned to live with this minor inconvience. Black and Decker does offer an optional extension tube that attaches to a much larger container for the mulched material, but I have never used one. I would be interested in reading a review from someone who has. I have used much more expensive gas powered blowers and vacuums, but none were any better, and several not as good. This is the second "Leaf Hog" I have purchased. The first one is running fine. We just wanted to make our yard work time shorter.
I'm now working with my third (3rd) B&D blower\vac Two are not usable and this present one is just about to become inoperable, because the ballbearing's becme loose and fall out of the paper-thin retainer of the ballbearing's literally melts and fails to retain the bearings in place, which effects the operation of the unit. Other than that, the machine is everything B&D claims it is and is more then satisfactory. Picks up leaves and pine needles where mowers and rakes will not reach. I 'm thinking it can only be used continuously for one ( 1 ) hour at a time otherwise the bearing's retainer will over heat and lose it's shape. I would still reccomend it, but cannot be run too long continuously. Good Machine
The leaf blower was delivered in a condition where the box was damaged and it looked as if it had been opened and resealed. Leading me to believe that it had been purchased and then returned? This is intended to be a gift so I won't even know if it works until after Christmas. Hopefully it does and I won't have to deal with the hassle of trying to return it!
