We use this product to cover (2) 26 inch bicycles. I got the 3 bike cover because I figured it would be easier to put on. Our first trip was 600 miles with about 300 miles in rain and mist. Cover did it's job of keeping bicycles dry and clean. Easy to put on and did a great job of covering all of the bicycles. Looks like quality material and exceeded our expectations.
Excellent product for the price. The best price I could find and it works just like it stated. We cover our biccyles on our Motorhome.
This is a highly durable product that we expect will last a long time when we take our bikes with our RV. Easy to install. Even easier with Bungies instead of the ties that came with the product.
We purchased this bike cover and soon after went on an extended trip with our RV. The cover fits well over the 2 bikes and seems to be made of durable material. We have traveled 700 miles at 60 mph and it is working great so far! I hope it lasts a few years.
My traditional hitch mounted bike rack is mounted on the back of my RV. My classic cover just finished a 2900 mile trip from Seattle to Brownsville, TX, through snow, rain, and high winds. It has held up superbly, with only some minor chafing on one of the plastic windows. Fabric and seams are in excellent shape. I had some difficulty installing the cover over my two bikes, one being a 29er mountain bike. Due to the long wheel base of this bike, to get the cover to fit I had to remove the handle bars on one of the bikes. Even so, there was still a slight opening at the bottom of the cover. The cover worked great at keeping out rain, slush, salt and water borne dirt. Because it is not fully sealed, it doesn't do so well at keeping out dust from a dirt road, although it does minimize the amount of dust that gets on the bikes.
This didn't work out for us. There is not enough clear window in the cover and blocks the tail lights. So we had to return it. If your tail lights on the car are high it would work but not on our car. It is well made and I wish it would have fit .
The cover looked good out of the box. Set up well on the SUV. Rear lights were not clearly visible on one side. Used on 1400 mile trip New England to Florida. In South Carolina, we observed that the cover had ripped along the seam between the clear and gray material. It made it to Florida despite the substantial tear. Still protected from above, the bikes stayed clean and dry. Needs to be sturdier. We will attempt a repair with packing tape.
1st - no way does it cover 3 full size bikes, 2 at the most. I used the cover twice in Texas my bikes were on a thule rack on the back of my jeep. My 3rd trip using the cover - the cover was on 1/2 way to Arizona and 2 of the 4 plastic windows ripped. I was bummed - I liked the cover!!
Less then 500 miles.....on Buick Enclave...zipper unzipped, plastic windows blown apart....handle ripped thru seam...roads were dry
Not good. First use on trip to Michigan. On highway for about 3hrs and it was already shredded and flapping around in the wind. Not very durable. Followed instructions carefully in putting over bicycles. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee which is an SUV and should have cut down on the wind more that a regular car. Very disappointed!
