I bought it 7 days before we left and headed out West. It was a huge help but every now and then it kept trying to get us to go the wrong way. I had no idea we had to UPDATE it when we just purchased it. I still haven't gotten it to take the shortest route. We have been using around home just to see if it's right, most of the time it isn't. I am disappointed for the money it cost.
