I have the plastic drain valve on my motorhome and do not like it at all. This Camco product is much easier to use at a great price. I do recommend it.
It is just what I needed.
I purchased this drain plug to go use in our RV. It works great for draining the hot water tank to winterize the RV. Its always a real hassle to take the time to get a wrench out and remove the drain plug. Now all I have to do turn a knob and it drains and then turn it back off.
Trying to remove the old plug from my RV water heater was always a chore when it came to winterizing it. It was located in a very hard to get spot and took forever to get it out and then back in again after winter. This little valve works perfectly. As with the old plug, it was a pain to get installed because of the location, not because of the valve. Once installed, very simple to twist open and close the valve. This will make the winterizing process so much simpler foe me.
Great product. Arrived on time. Allows water heater draining without removing a plug. Very tight area in there, great effort saver.
This plug is exactly what I've been looking for. This plug is easy to install and drain my tank after each trip to ensure it drains completely.
Excellent product that eliminates having to actually take the drain plug out to drain the water heater.
Easy install, seems to be a perfect fit. Have not pressurized system yet, but will update if there are any issues with leaks.
so just like the water heater plug on my camper, the heater design makes this a hassle to install, but that's not the products fault. Use some teflon tape and get it on right, and never have to remove a plug again to drain your heater. No-brainer!
Had a little trouble installing in the tight space available but only cut myself once after my wife reminded me twice to wear gloves. It drains slower but it is easier opening and closing the valve than removing and reinstalling the plug.
