i always wanted one and wanted the right one. i do love the product it gets hot fast and really gets the wrinkle out. i only wish they made some kind of hook or something to hold the accesories. it gets real hot so be careful i suggest using a tong or something when u want to hold the ends of ur garments. also the steamer nozzle needs a more secure resting place that was kinda tricky it just didn't sit on there well
This machine has made my life so much easier. I no longer have to wait for the iron to heat up, or cool down when I am done. In less than a minute the steam is ready to go. Our family looks better with fewer wrinkles, and I am happier since I no longer have to pounce on the dryer to catch all the clothes before they wrinkle. I would definately make this purchase again. It is easy to use, and easy to store.
I love my new Conair steamer. It works great. One helpful hint to keep your fingers from getting steamed. Buy a pair of "ove gloves". I never have to worry about my fingers getting burned from the steam as I pull on the fabric because they are protected by the gloves and are flexible enough to manipulate the fabric while you steam. The "ove gloves" work great in the kitchen as well. They make this steamer a breeze to use, much better than the previously suggested tongs to keep your fingers safe.
I bought this steamer for our son, who is single and an attorney...no time for ironing! It's a great product, works like a charm! No sputtering water! Heats up in just seconds, and gets the job done in half the time of ironing. Neat features like a retractable cord and ionization button so that there is no static electricity on your clothing. It's great for suits, silk blouses, and other items which are difficult, if not impossible to iron. I highly recommend this product!
This product did what it should but the cord was not long enough, unit to big to fit where I needed to use it. Other wise nice product for the price. (ugly color) I returned it. If you can get past the cord length, size and color issue, your good to go with this item.
Like the product. Only downside at this point is there is no easy way to steam pants. The only product-specific directions are for draperies. I purchased for daily use on shirts, pants, etc. Too new to say if this is the way to go if you iron on a daily basis.
I have used this product several times on dresses, shirts, jackets and skirts of linen, polyester, and silk. It works as designed. It removes most wrinkles and does not spot or leak. It is easy to assemble and sturdy enough to hold heavy jackets.
I do not recommend this product if you think it will solve your ironing problems...it will not...if you want to freshen curtains and bebspreads - yes...it's good for steaming suits so you don't get a shiny look especially if you don't use your pressing cloth. My husband wants me to return it...I am keeping it as my husband and I and my grandson wear a lot of suits...you have to put the garment on a flat surface and smooth with your hand as you go to get good results...get a chair and sit down otherwise you will kill your back bending in the process...if your real concern is ironing...get a Black and Decker/GE Old Black Workhorse Iron or the Shark...I own both and this steamer will NEVER replace them. (I'm raising 4 small grandkids and iron over 60 outfits a week for them alone...this steamer did not help me with this).
I was disappointed after receiving this steamer. I researched for a week before buying this model. It had some good reviews. My issue with the steamer was that it left my clothes damp. The only way to get the wrinkles out was to apply pressure to the fabric making it damp. You could not steam a garment and wear it the same day as it would always feel damp. I decided to go back to my old fashioned iron and returned the item to my local store.
the steam stops coming out in the middle of the process. the hose is stiff. the parts are hard to change and assemble. the hanger part is constructed very cheaply. I love conair products hair dryer, curling irons etc. and have been completely satisfied in the past. I am quite surprised at the quality and construction of this item.
