The storage chest is a very attractive piece of furniture and the quality is good. It was rather difficult to put together and I am not a novice there. Insturctions are not user friendly so I had to use my own common sense for a lot of it. Overall, it is a great value for the money.
It's not a bad piece of furniture. It was easily assembled and seems pretty sturdy. My only disappointment was its size. I was imagining something a bit bigger. But considering the price I paid I feel I sure got my money's worth with this piece. Very pretty.
I originally ordered it for my 8 yr old's toys, and once it was put together, my hubby & I realized it was really nice! Beautiful design, nice finish, and very sturdy. One thing though; take caution when using the cam locks - they'll break if you try to tighten them too far. Use wood glue instead of the white glue for a sturdier bond. If we were using it for a bench, I'd throw a cushion on top. great purchase for the money.
Although I thought it was a little pricey, this chest meets all of my expectations. I wanted something to keep toys in that would look good in my living area. It was easy to put together and holds lots of toys. I really like the way the lid stays up and closes easy so the little ones won't mash their fingers. Very useful piece of furniture.
The trunk was very easy to assemble. The finish is beautiful and the style goes very well with our other mission furniture. I am very happy with my purchase.
We wanted a quality looking chest for blankets in our family room and I came across this. I was unsure of this product at first but when I got it home I was shocked that it was a very solid piece of furniture. The bottom and sides are all made of 3/4 inch wood.The top even has spring hinges that are good quality that slow the closing of the top. It was also very easy to put together about 1 hr. but have your own glue. For the overall appearance and strenghth of this product it could easilly be worth twice as much so the $70 is well worth it.
I bought this product to put in my living room, I am using it for pillows and blankets. I use the top as a coffee table it is very nice. You do need two people to put it together it takes around half hour. It does ask for wood glue to make it more sturdy so make sure you have a little. The color is neutral. If you are looking for something big this is not. I can tell you that is is pretty deep I have 3 travel pillows and around 5 blankets in it with a little room to spear. Very very nice, would buy again.
Could have used somewhat more user-friendly assembly instructions, but other than that, this is a wonderfully priced beautiful addition to our bedroom. Looks like a piece from a high priced furniture store-- no one will ever be able to tell it's so reasonably priced. Very sturdy, as my six year old hasn't even made a small dent in it as she jumps from it to our bed! Would definitely recommend.
This product was actually much better than I expected. It was complicated to put together alone, but I did get it done. (And I would suggest you have a drill!) I have put together alot of misc. other items and usually end up returning them. I was not excited about the color (it looks exactly like the picture- a little orange) but for the value you won't find anything better. It is actually bigger than expected and fits alot of toys. I actually just bought another one online. :)
I am very pleased with this purchase. The quality of the chest is very good for the money. The only problem I have with it is the color is an "orange" color. I thought it would be more of a natual wood color. I bought it to store video tapes and DVD's, and it's perfect for that. Good size. Nice detail.
