This shredder works excellent. Besides shredding paper, it can also shred credit cards and CDs! I love mine. The only thing that I wish was maybe better would be the size of the basket so it would shred a ton more at a time but it shreds enough at a time to satisfy my expectations. It's one tough shredder!!!!!
This product is wonderful and shreds anything but it is not a full size shredder. It does not fit a full sheet of paper. You have to fold it in half or tear in strips.
I purchased this shredder because it was small and not often do you see a cheerful color like red. It works just great, but the container for the clippings is very small. Seems to need to be emptied all the time. The canister appears to be the size of the front of the machine, but it is actually only half that size. Anyhow....it suits our family. Maybe it will for yours too.
Good: Nice small design, Price. Bad: Small paper entry, Fills up quick.
The basket is small and sloppy. The shredder bars are too deep, they are hard to reach with small items.
It is hard to feed paper into the shredder and sometimes the paper goes in but doesn't reach the shredder. The bin overflows and makes a mess, I can get names and account numbers from the shredded material unless you put it in at an angle.
We bought this one in our local store, thinking it would be good for junk mail. Because of the small size, it fits just about anywhere. But there are lots of negatives to this model. The bin holds very little, and the shreddings fall over the sides when you empty it. The slot is too small for a standard sheet of paper, so you must fold it to fit in the slot. Finally, the bin doesn't close securely, so you have to hold it in place to make the unit work at all. Would definitely NOT recommend this product.
When I tried to use this product, it didn't work. I followed all the instructions, and I couldn't get it to turn on. I used several outlets and it still didn't work.
This was a real disappointment from the time I received it. #1, the shredder basket was too small, and could not latch properly, and had to be held in while shredding. I called B & D and was told it was defective, and to return it. #2 Thw shredder blades are too narrow, and one had to fold or tear letter sized paper to run it through. #3 After 8 pieced of paper thickness, it ran slowly and growled a lot. I returned it to Walmart, and they were very gracious and refunded my purchase. I then went and bought a different brand, which satisfied me needs much better.
Could not get it to power up. After I reset the bin, the power finally came on. Shredded 3 items, then it no longer shredded anything. Removed bin and reset, powered on and off. Would not go forward or reverse. Will be taking it back to the store the next time I am near a WalMart.
