Haven't had a chance to use it much just yet, but tried a few things when we opened the box and it works great!! Nobody could possibly put that credit card together enough to gather info.
The appearance is nice and it's easy to use. There is a trash compartment that easily slides out and can be easily emptied. The shredder is also on wheels which makes the whole device convenient to move as I store it under my desk. It shredds to small pieces and handles great.
Very nice shredder. Work great right out of the box. Great to have the stand with dumping tray already there. Does a great job of shredding documents up to 5 pages without stalling. Great unit.
This shredder is easy to operate. I like the main feeder slot which angles away from you which gives you further safety. It easily takes care of credit cards and also DVD's and CD's. The shredder bin easily slides in and out for emptying. I like the ease of operation. The window on the bin is small so once you see paper in that window it is wise to empty it. It's a little noisy but any shredder I have opertated has been-after all, it is a shredder. It is a great all around shredder for the money.
For shredding cds cards and paper with staples, this shredder is both cost effective and easy to use. With it's easy to empty pull out basket, this shredder is a perfect security companion for both home and office. I give it an A++
My brother and I had to clear out my fathers room who is a pack rate and this shedder worked great I told my dad if it didn't shred another piece of paper ever it put in a life time of work already!!! But it's still shredding. It did from time to time stop because it was over worked and it will stop if it gets overheated ( a good thing so you don't ruin it)we would let it rest about 10 minutes and we could continue. I can't say enough about it!!!!! I didn't think it was going to last the 5 days of 10 hr a days we put in to clean that room. Mind you it was all paper!!!! and most of it we had some part to be shredded. I absolutly LOVED it!
Had more expensive shredders in the past. Was a little leary about buying a cheaper unit. To my surprise, The Royal unit was a little louder but had much more power. Great buy.
I like the pull out basket to dispose of the shredded materials and the fine shredding to ensure no confidential information is exposed. However, I have to select times when customers are not in the environment because the noise it makes is "Much" too loud!
I didn't even have this for a full day and it quit working. The gears started grinding! It's supposed to shred 10 papers at once, it wouldn't even do one sheet!
The "Shredder" I purchased via the web did not give me a full week of useage prior to failing. The failure involved the mechinism that started and stopped the cutter action. It would not shut off after shredding. Reason Unknown. I'm sorry but I did not request a replacement but purchased a different shredder from a different manufacturer. As of this writing it has succeded shredding more paper and has so far, has been very successful in operation.
