I have a lot to be shredded and with the large bin and power this is fitting the bill just as I had hoped. Would recommend if you have heavy shredding to be done.
works fine, empty it before it gets filled. says 14 sheets, just stay below 7-10 sheets, no problem
When looking at shredders the Royal 140MX was compact and seemed fine for low volume use. After 90 days the shredder would not turn off after use. After another week it would turn on randomly. The only way to turn off was to unplug. Beware of Royal shredders!
14 page shredder that slows almost to a halt at 14 pages. Clogs quickly in mechanism hard to clear. Pull out tray will not hold the capacity stated due to clogging of shredder mechanism. Cannot see level of material in container, when basket is pulled out slightly clogged material falls into space behind basket. Must clean out unit after every shred no . This unit could be improved.
My previous royal shredder was 2 piece - body and basket - heavy molded plastic. It held up very nicely. This was 3 pieces --a heavy shredder top, very flimsy body, and the basket. I was unable to seat the heavy top on the flimsy body properly without a lot of effort. The sides spread with the weight of the top and had to be maneuvered into place. This would not last any length of time. I returned it. This is not worth the money.
