I wanted something that would a.project b.have music (lullabys) and c.possibly have a movie-type effect. Well this toy has both a & b but the image projected on the ceiling/wall DOES NOT move to my dispare..and I wasnt aware of this until I shipped it to my home and turned it on. My son stared at it for a while, then got bored. THANK GOODNESS theres a choice of 2 different images. They say one is for younger & one is for older babies. He likes the "older" one and he is 5 months old. The lullabys last 20 minutes, which is long enough to put my tantrum-filled baby to sleep. Down fall, it BARELY has any stability. I've had to put toys around it to get it to stand up straight. If you put it directly straight up, the image points the wrong way instead of directly above it. Other than that, I love it. I think it was an awesome investment. Wayyy better than the $150 I was going to pay for the ipod childrens projector!
My 6 month grandson will watch the picture on the ceiling and listen to the music until he falls asleep. Much more pleasant than his crying himself to sleep!
Okay, I've read the reviews (after buying) and I have to disagree with so much. One person said it has no auto-shut off. It does. It turns off after 12 minutes. Also, the sound and picture fade out when turning off so it doesn't go from noise and light to nothing, which can jar a baby awake. Okay so what I love: -Sits up on it's own perfectly. -Tilts to sides so the image will be above baby. -Two adorable stationary images. -Beautiful lullabies and peaceful water sounds -Two volume setting -Lightweight and compact, great to take anywhere -With the auto shut off, it doesn't drain batteries fast. -No assembly required! Just pop in 4 AA batteries and go! I bought it for my 4 month old for Christmas. Works great. I love this!
i just got this in an attempt to get my 2 yr old son to fall asleep on his own without me laying beside him. He kept saying how cool this was and he loves it. I only let him have it at bedtime. It really is neat-wish I would have known about it early on!
We have a 9 month old and he seems to really enjoy this product. I like that there are 3 options for everything: music, light show, and duration. (we chose 10 minutes and the baby is always sleeping before the music ends) This product is simple to use and seems to be very well-made. I would recommend this product to others.
We purchased this item today for our 3 month old son in hopes that it would entertain him and hold his attention in his crib at night or just so we could get a few things done around the house...we both agree that if the light image that projects on the ceiling rotated or had some sort of movement it would keep his attention much better. Also, there are only 2 different settings and both get kind of annoying pretty fast. He did enjoy pushing the buttons on the front but when it came to the actual lights, he had no interest in them at all... we will probably be returning this product tomorrow.
we got a mobile that unfortunately didnt have a night light so this works great to make up for that. my daughter really likes it =)
I don' t have a big problem with the projector. It 's work. The only thing they could do , they could put more images for the baby to see. Like 3 or 4 or even 5 because the baby doesn't have variety with 2 images
I had another FP soother before that alternated between three scenes and was also appropriate for up to 3 ages. This however does not change the picture, but is stagnant there is no movement and does not keep the baby's attention as I would have hoped. It is inferior to the other product.
We were advised to buy this one by a friend and I should have researched it first. first of all the music only plays for 12 min. and you can't restart it until it turns off. My son fell asleep easily using it but woke up the min. it turned off. Also there are only two volume levels Loud and Louder. Is it convenient? Yes, The handle and use of batteries makes it a breeze when traveling but the HoMedics SoundSpa Lullaby Sound Machine with Picture Projection is cheaper, smaller, has lots more options. We returned it and bought the HoMedics one. Which we LOVE! If your looking for something to help your baby sleep easier and longer this is not the one for you. If your looking for something for your kids to play with then this is perfect for you.
