exactly what i wanted it for, filters and cleans the air almost imediately! small, quiet and nice to look at. i love it!! took away the musty smell of my old apt.
Great product! I recently purchased an older home and when it rains there is a musky smell in the wood trim; however, the sanitizer absorbs the smell...how fantastic is that!!! I also have a dog and allergies so sanitizing the home is a must. The bulb/filter replacements are a little costly but well worth the expense. When turned on, the motor takes some getting use to (a little loud); however, overall this product provides a level of comfort and exceeded my expectation ).
I have a small room under my stairway that serves as a storage room and has very little movement of air. Over time it has developed a "musty" smell that would not go away. Two weks with this Sanitizer and the air is now normal and the unit is now just being left on to keep it that way. Great product for small confined spaces.
I am extremely happy with my Germ guardian, it makes such a big difference and a see how much my sleep has improved, I caught a sinus cold and believe it or not I usually take forever to get better and honestly got better so much more faster and my husband usually would usually catch my colds and he did not, not even one symptom.
Works very well, and it does help eliminate odors. My small apartment always smells clean when I leave this on. Great customer service as well. For some reason bulb burnt out within 3 weeks of use and I called them and they sent me a replacement, no charge. Make sure you save the instruction book (and receipt) just in case there is a problem before the warranty expires. The unit itself seems like its built very well and should last a while regardless of light bulb burning out.
This thing is a scream! Looks like a small nuclear device and gives off a cool blue glow. We have a cat & chihuahua that are always on the move so we got this thingy to kill any & all floating baddie. I think it works great. At night we have it in the bedroom so it acts like a nite lite but turn the thing down cause it does make some noise on high. UV light does kill the bacteria & mold floating around. Get healthy!
Wonderful for keeping the air clean for my husband who has had a transplant. I use it 24/7 in our bedroom. It has also helped tremendously with my allergies. Only problem I have encountered is the bulb doesn't last very long......5 months and it needs replacement and is expensive.
Purchased 2 Germ Guardians UV room air sanitizer units. Had it Shipped to store and was delivered on time. Plugged both units in and turned them on, both machines worked great and no assembly was required. Left units run continuously for 24 hrs. as per the instructions. After 3 weeks both UV bulbs went out on BOTH machines and within the same week. The owner's manual and online claimed that the bulbs should last approximately one year operating continuously.I was not happy both units went out at the same time and it has me concerned that both my units could possibly be defective. I Contacted Germ Guardian customer support via the 1800#, all I had to do was send them an email with proof of purchase and shipping information, and the next day received a reply email that said I would receive 2 replacement bulbs in 7-10 days. I am hoping the new bulbs last longer and that my units are not defective. In my opinion the replacement bulbs are expensive, especially if you have to replace them several times a year.
They are supposed to last a year. Ive went through 2 in 6 weeks. I shouldnt have to call for a new bulb every 3-4 weeks. Its a shame they cant fix the light issue because the machine helped with a musty smell. But, its going back and I will look into other UC-C options. Ones where the bulbs last longer than a few weeks.
Noise , this is very terrible issue for this unit . You cannot keep this invention in bedroom or in office , it is waaaaay too loud . i am almost positively sure you will return this product because of it .. however unit works quite well to kill germs , you can tell the difference in air quality in 20 minutes ... but i need to sleep too , alright ?
