I have just gotten the worst hair cut in the world. I wanted chin length and got hair that is at most 2 inches! I found a cure for the hair cut, this curling iron! I have never had short hair and never had a need for a 1/2 in curling iron until now! I love the value, the way it holds the heat and the quickness of it heating up. I now love my new style and will continue to use this curling iron everyday! I found one at Meijer and the cost was $9.99, I knew Wal-Mart has them and was glad to see that I waited for a good reason. $8.88~~ I LOVE WAL-MART!!!
This curling iron is perfect for short hair. Sunbeam is a brand that I can trust for good quality products. I am very satisfied. The 1/2 inch size cylinder was difficult to find in stores such as Target or Walmart because none were on the shelves when I needed a new one. Ordering on-line and having it shipped free of charge to my residence was ideal.
Is a good product, works as advertised, would recommend.

This is ok and I am sure it would work fine for someone with thicker hair. My hair is very fine and I have trouble getting it to hold curl even with using a mousse. I was hoping the curling iron added would help my hair to hold the curl but it does not. I don't feel it is the curling irons fault, my hair is just too fine.
works well on short hair. mine was real long and i got it cut real short. needed a curling iron, this works good.
2/5/2011 Dear Sirs: Re: Sunbeam 1/2" curling iron - I do not like the handle/barrel is too long and akward, when I am trying to curl my short hair -{apprx 8" to 9" in length}. Designed better for longer hair I suppose. But for the price - economically was best to keep, because my old-1/4"-{of 5 yrs}- one broke and I needed a new curling iron immediately. Walmarts did not have a 1/4" in stock, online when needed. So I will use as 'stand by' extra curling iron when my hair grows in the summer -time. I will look on line next week for shorter handle barrel & buy 1/4" curl iron hopefully. Thank You. Lil
Very good value for the price. This curling iron is somewhat shorter than my previous one, so it takes less hair in each curling cycle and takes a bit longer to do the same job. Nonetheless, it works well and I would buy another.
My hair is too thick for it to work very well, but it's very nice on small curls around the face. For the price, it's a good deal.
This curling iron works okay, Its not the best. But because I got it at this price I can't really complain. The only thing is, is that it doesn't get as hot as I would like it to. And doesn't have all that great of a glide when sliding my curls out. Sometimes my hair would get stuck in the latch.
