I have had a Graco snug ride infant seat for all 7 of my kids when they were infants.I loved every one of them. They are comfortable and stylish and come and lots of different styles and colors. The base and balance zone in the seat itself makes it foolproof because it adjusts to accommodate a child of any size. You know you are installing it correctly. They now have seats that fit your child as they get bigger,up to 35 lbs. With our first kids they could only use the infant seats up to 25 lbs. This means you get more use out if your seat and that is very convenient. I have always purchased Graco products over the years because they are safe,sturdy and dependable products and when it comes to my children those qualities are very important to me.
My children were involved in a car accident in November. Both of our daughters were in Graco car seats; our 9-month old was in the SnugRide. Although our SUV was totaled and the adult driver and adult passenger both had minor injuries, our daughters were completely safe. Our 9-month old was removed from the vehicle without so much as a scratch.
Great seat, I have used the same infant car seat for both of my children. It has been safe and reliable for both of them. Very convenient to get in and out of the car which is great especially when you have a second child waiting on you. I have recommended it to several friends that have had kids since we bought it ours. I now need a new one for my 9 month old who has almost out grown hers and I also need a new one for my 3 year old cause hers is about to expire. So hoping to win one so we only have the expense of just one new one not two.
This was an easy installment, thought it was going to be a little more difficult than it was and was happily proven wrong. I like the features it provides, and it's ability to be lock into our stroller. Light weight, and sturdy to boot. Would like more options to line the cradle with though. Easy to use one handed too. Very important to me to be able to use these items with one hand. All in all a great purchase and feel that this is a well made product with some common sense thrown into it. About time. Yes, I would make this a essential buy over other competitors. Nice job Graco!
From the very first day we put our baby in this car seat we quickly realized how very easy it was to use. No confusion at all! And the car seat was so stable too no moving or sliding around, not even a little bit.....the indicator definitely helps! Since then, our daughter has always been very comfortable in it. Never puts up a fuss....EVER! The only problem I'm having now is that she's growing out of it and she's gonna need a big girl seat (front facing). Not sure how that's gonna go over cause she really does love her comfy car seat! Oh well, we can't keep them tiny forever! On to the next stage. Hopefully we can find a seat for her that she will love as much as this one. Hopefully!
I bought this carseat months before I had my daughter I swear by graco carseats. Downfall of this carseat is adjusting the straps! I tossed the box and didn't even notice there was no pull strap in the front to loosen and tighten the straps for easy in and out. Now my daughter is a month old and I'm finding the straps loosen from taking her in and out its such a tight fit I'm always struggling.
the car seat is fine. seems to be great. my problem is that i paid extra to get it by or on the 9th the tracker said it would be here then on the 12th so i freaked a little, but and it came on the 10th. the day of the baby shower. I barely made it. on time and with gift. i could of had free shipping but paid $3.00 extra to be sure of its arrival and so I was NOT happy about that.
overall I don't have any problems with this car seat; however, graco needs to make some design changes. The harness slots are much too high for a newborn. The straps must be below the shoulders when rear facing and that simply isn't possible using this seat with a newborn. my 9 month old is still on the lowest setting.
I loved the snug ride when my son was in a car seat I'm not to enthusiastic about this one. The belt is hard to fasten in between the legs and the harness seems to loosen on its own. However i do like how easy it is to get in and out of the base and how light weight it is. I hope the next one I get is constructed better.
I have used many graco infant carseats over the years. This is by far the worst! I am very disappointed in my purchas! Graco has changed to a slippery fabric that makes the baby sweaty. Bring back breathable fabric! The canopy is terrible! They have made it smaller than it used to be. Doesn't even extend past the handle! All Graco carseats now have the same canopy. Other brands still make the nice larger canopy. Also not sure why they have this carseat straps adjust in the back? I have always recommended the lighter graco infant seat. I will no longer, unless these changes are made.
