My children love it! son 7 & daughter 6 I feel good knowing that they are stimulating their mind, learning, and enjoying it!!!! =)
All my 4-year-old daughter wanted for Christmas was a "laptop like mommy and daddy". So we started researching and ended up buying this one. She LOVES it! It's a little smaller in size than the average laptop so she can carry it around easier. It has great educational games for her to play. She figured out how to use it without us even opening the manual! My only complaint would be that the screen size is really small. The graphics are a little hokey but she's 4 so she doesn't care about those things. She's dropped it a few times and it's been fine. A great buy
I bought this notebook for my 3 year old granddaughter she is very advanced for her age and love to play school so this notebook is a wonderful addition to our daily learning sessions. The volume is a little to loud even on low but overall a very good product.
My 4 year old Godson loves this toy! He plays it more than his Wii. He's very smart, so as soon as he got on he wizzed through the games. Very easy to understand, the joystick is a cute plus and there's more cartridges to get online!!
Product work well. Granddaughter loves it!!!!
I bought this for Christmas for my 4 year old and she loves it. she will go on to another activity after a while when she loses interest in this laptop but always comes back shortly. the screen is a lil bit small to me and is the same size as the unit Vtech sold 4 years ago when I bought it for my other child. I would think the screen would have gotten a few inches bigger with newer technology. but I would recomend this product.
My first complain is that the screen is too small. I can't understand why can't they increase the actual usable screen size. It is probably 25% of the entire screen. I have seen my son craning to figure out what is the picture, since smaller screen means cramming lots of things in less amount of pixels. Second complain is the lower volume is still very loud. Leapfrog's lower volume is fine and less on ears, but this Nitro product is harsh on ears even for its lower volume. It has some great educational stuff with multiple levels of easy or difficult stuff.
The product appearance is quiet good but the screen is the major downfall of it. as an adult i find it difficult to see the screen. It held my daughter's interest for three days before she lost interest in it.
This notebook computer is suggested for four years and up. It was extremely 'user unfriendly' especially for a child. My son was getting extremely frustrated trying to play with it, and said he was done with it after about 10 minutes. The screen is also hard to see, and the directions for the games are unclear. It was a total waste of money for us. I would not recommend buying this product for a child!
All my 4 yr old wanted for Christmas was a laptop. I thought that this would be a good educational investment. Pros: 1.Great variety of educational games 2.Can be very challenging Cons: 1.You need to have reading skills 2.Some of the keys have multi-functions that can be confusing 3.No way to change the challenge level Unfortunately to be able to play with this, you need to already know how to read. My son is just beginning to recognize letters. No where on the packaging does it say that you must have reading skills to use this. It does say for ages 4 and up. My 5 yr old, who can read basics, had trouble with it. If your child reads well, this would work great. We have returned it and are getting a Leapster Explorer instead.
