My kids love this and so do I, it gives them educational fun and keeps them out my hair for a little bit its easy to use and the only complaint that I have is that it has 1 controller that comes with it and you have to use batteries for the system and the remotes and the batteries run down fast on the system itself not so much on the remotes thats the only down fall also it does not have the option to plug into the wall so you do have to buy batteries alot it also brings 1 game that includes a few different ones from tennis to racing and im not sure about the others very fun I have the blue one not the pink but I could not find the blue one to comment on so the pink will have to do lol.
We bought this for my 2 and a half year old daughter for Christmas. She has only had it for 2 days but she adores it! She gets so excited that SHE can make Dora do things. We got it on Black Friday for $30 but I think we would have easily paid the everyday price for it. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with the AC adaptor. I am not sure how long the batteries will last but I would definitely recommend rechargeable batteries! I love that it comes in pink!!
My daughter is 3 and she loves her games on the the V Motion. She is especially excited because she can play the games mostly on her own. The games teach my daughter stuff like ABCs, spelling, shapes, counting, hand eye coordination, and spanish (Dora).
I got this for my 4 yr old son for Christmas 2010, it still works (even with him being the most destructive child ever), he still loves it, he wants more games for it. My only problem so far has been finding another controller so that my 6 yr old can play with him.
I bought this for my girls, ages 4 and 6. I thought it would be a great educational toy and get them up and moving like the Wii, but they only played it a few times and there wasn't much motion involved. They seemed to get bord with it really fast. I bought 5 different games to go with it and it ended up being a huge waste of money. It's constructed very well, we have never had a problem with it other than their lack of interest in it, it seemed educational and was easy to use.
We purchased an original V-smile for my 4 year old stepson for his birthday, (this past September) and within just a few weeks the joystick on the controller quit working. No apparent reason as the controller suffered no external or internal damage. When we went to go replace the controller, we learned that we had to purchase a whole new system, because they had already stopped making the original v-smile and it's components. And now all of the accessories were for V-smile MOTION. So we purchased a V-smile MOTION. This was three weeks ago. The system is just so shoddily constructed. It's touchy. You have to put the games in JUST the right way or it wont start up. They freeze all the time, requiring restarting. The new controllers also no longer plug into the system. It's "WIRELESS" which really translates into more batteries to purchase. 3 AAAs mind you. They only last about three or four days of casual play. But my biggest gripe, is that it seems the makers of this product did not take into account that toddlers and preschoolers are the target audience for this game system. Yet they make the system so delicate. To the point that if you walk by and bump the system with your foot, it freezes or restarts the game. They must not be parents. Have YOU ever seen your toddler sit still while playing a video game? Or doing ANYTHING? And the games are even hard for ME to remove, as an adult. My poor little guy has to strain with all his might just to remove the game cartridge to change games. The games are OK. But for all of you with the larger HD flat screen TVs.... the graphics turn into the biggest pixelated mess you've ever seen. It's as if they formatted these games for nothing larger than 24" or the graphics get really distorted. I'm not asking for Xbox quality, but really... could they spare it? Overall... go with LEAPFROG systems. They are tough, durable, and make the most of their battery life.
We bought this for my sons 3rd birthday. It would not work from the beginning. We look at the cartridge itself and the bars were partially rubbed off. Maybe that was the cause or it just plain didn't work. Either way it was a great disapointment! Was considering buying another one, but after reading these reviews and realizing the game was poorly made, we will not be buying another one. If anyone has got advice on buying another brand that has similar game options, please let everyone know!
My kids only played this a couple times we have had it about 6 months or so, or i would return it its almost new! It just all of a sudden will not even turn on tried different batteries and games it is not getting any power! DO NOT recommend this its expensive and the games are expensive we have about 10 of them!
We have purchased 3 of thes systems and none of them work well, all of them stopped working. We just purchased the third one and it stopped within 1 hr?????? The girls don't mistreat this product we were watching them.
I bought this product for my 3yr. old for Christmas. I was very disappointed. The controller constantly loses signal and is difficult for a 3yr. old to operate. The quality of the games are awful. Do ont waste your money on this product.
