Expert Design and Build The Custom 24 was built with the magical touch of Paul Reed Smith. This revised model keeps that magic as it forges ahead on a slightly different path. Sporting a mahogany body, the Custom 24 has an asymmetrical beveled maple top. Its double cutaway design allows for players to reach all the way up to the 24th fret without slowing down. A mahogany neck with pattern regular shape gives players a smooth ride from top to bottom, and the rosewood fretboard keeps with the design aesthetics and sustains the properties PRS is known for. PRS Precision Appointments Though this model is slightly stripped down, it's still decorated with quality. PRS's signature bird inlays depict a bird in flight intermittently from the 3rd fret all the way up to the 24th. The Custom 24 boasts a PRS patented tremolo bridge, as well as PRS Low Mass Locking Tuners, so this guitar will stay in tune no matter how you play. Superior Electronics Known for tone, PRS dropped a pair of 85/15 "S" pickups at the neck and bridge. With a three-way blade switch, you can decide between searing bridge tones or bassy neck tones. For an added measure of versatility, the Custom 24 has a push/pull tone knob for coil-tapping, splitting these humbuckers into single-coils when you desire that sweet sound.
