the camco quick disconnect is a well built brass product great hardware to all evinrude outboard owners i use this on my 175 outboard in my marina where i keep my boat the hole on the camco is 5/8 and makes flushing my motor a breeze and i keep on my engine its good quality brass hardware and fits the purpose i would recommend this product and im sure it has many other purposes great for rv to
Great product. Should work well with the hose end that are now plastic. Screw it on once and don't worry about cross threading. I ended up buying 2.
I had another brand and they leaked. Seem to be a quality product although I've only used them a short time.
I recently bought two other quick connects, one from each big box store. Then I saw this Camco and bought it. It makes the two others look like imposters, yet only cost $1 more. It's very well made, works flawlessly, and I wouldn't buy any other quick connect now. Brass is the way to go!
Bought two online. One for home and one for camping. just screw on and connect. Perfect. Home is brick and I was always scraping my knuckles screwing on the garden hose. Now, it's just click and spray.
Good quality exactly what I needed.
I haven't had that long to gave a review
These work great when they're new, but after you've had them for a year, the sliding mechanism becomes difficult, making it hard to disconnect them. I have pure brass ones that are older and don't have this problem. Unfortunately, it takes more time to get them disconnected, then it does to unscrew the hose, which makes them useless to me. I've tried several and they all seem to have this problem.
Over time these corrode and become impossible to disconnect..
I could not make a connection tight enough to stop water leaking out. I think this item might have been discontinued.
