I tried both of this one, and the Hershey's sugar-free chocolate syrup. The Hershey's one was bitter, watery, and very sour. It didn't taste like chocolate syrup much at all. But this one was much closer. It still has some aftertaste, and it's not quite as good as the real sugar version, but this is tolerable and good. The Hershey's version is disgusting. Great job, Walmart!
I have been buying this for years, and it is a great full-flavored product. I got the H-brand equivalent once and had to toss it. This Great Value brand is superior. I always have several on hand.
This stuff should be discontinued. It's that bad. The taste was awful. It ruined our sugar free ice cream. I ended up having to toss it and the bottle of chocolate syrup. It didn't taste like chocolate much and had a bitter taste. Do yourself a favor and don't buy it!
I'm a big chocolate fan, and this seemed like a dream come true for me since I'm trying to diet with calorie deficit. It's more than disappointing though how bad this stuff tastes. It's not chocolatey and it's not sweet. I honestly have no idea how they decided to start selling this in its current state. I'll try other brands. I've had some luck with a zero sugar maple syrup from maple grove farms so I'll look there first and I suggest you do the same.
Very disappointed in this sugar free chocolate syrup it doesn't taste like chocolate it is bitter and sour like tasting just way to fake theres really no need for it to taste this bad i have bought this exact one twice in the last two years, and couldn't stand it either times i thought i would try it again just incase it was just my taste buds the first time but i could handle it and it aint even worth eating i had to throw it out both times waist of money. Its like they used way to much fake sweetener or something i prefer plain unsweetened cocoa powder's flavor then this stuff. They need to do better
first of all I left specific instructions for the driver to pull in the driveway and bring the groceries to the back porch as I'm disabled and I can't use the front stairs because there's no railing so what did she do she left everything on the front porch and I had to have my upstairs neighbor go and get it for me second of all the groceries were all like thrown on top of each other things that didn't belong with other things some things got smashed it looks like a blind person put the stuff in the bag this is the worst delivery I have ever had from Walmart and as soon as I write this review I'm getting on the phone and calling their customer service
I can't understand why this would taste as horrible as it does. Artificial sweeteners don't taste exactly like sugar but they don't taste bad. The consistency is almost like water. It's nothing like the regular kind. Why would it not simply be the same thing just with artificial sweetener instead o sugar? It doesn't even taste like chcocolate.
The product is perfect and great value for the money but the shipping was horrible. 4 ordered. Only one lid, 2 broken lids one left.
BUYER BEWARE: I have drank Great Value Sugar free Chocolate Syrup for years now, and I drink it several times a day. I have always loved it BUT... I just received an order of several bottles of it, and the label has changed, as has the product itself. It is no longer that great sugar free product that so many of us have grown to love, it is really nasty tasting now. and my entire order will be returned. The original product label on the order page is NOT the product you will receive if you order it, plus the stores are no longer carrying the original product anymore either. (original product does Not have a ribbon design in rt upper label corner). So unfortunately I will NEVER buy another one of them plus the bottles that I just received will be being returned because there is no way I will or could drink them. Let me say that the original version of the Great Value Sugar free Chocolate Syrup was by far the best sugar free chocolate syrup out there, and that is also comparing it to other highly respected name brand SF syrups as well, so I'm hoping that sometime in the near future that Walmart will switch back to the original product formula, and they do away with this new formula, so I can start purchasing it again. I posted a pic of the new non original formula so hopefully the file size restrictions will allow it to go through.
I'm diabetic so I thought i would try this. The flavor was nothing like chocolate. Tried it twice and threw it away. First time Great Value has let me down.
