I HAVE HAD 3 THOUCHLESS SENSOR TRASHCANS, AND THIS BEATS THEM ALL. ONE WAS EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THIS ONE, AND IT COULDN'T BEGIN TO TOUCH THIS TRASH CAN. I LOVE THE ROUND SHAPE, AND THAT THE ENTIRE TOP LIFTS UP WHEN IT OPENS. SUPERIOR TO ALL THE OTHERS I HAD. I ALSO PRICE-CHECKED EVERYWHERE AND WALMART HAD THE BEST PRICE. I ALSO RECEIVED IT IN 2 DAYS WITH REGULAR SHIPPING!
Overall, I am happy with this trash can. The sensor works about 96% of the time. When it doesn't, there is a manual button on the front that is easy to press This is still a better alternative than a footpedal like on other trash cans. No more having to touch trash . The can also looks nice. After reading other reviews I opted to purchased the A/C adapter so I wouldnt have to depend on batteries.
This trash can is very well made...not the prettiest thing to look at but it actually able to hold large garbage and works excellent... my wife calls it R2D2 from Star Wars
I am so pleased with this trash can. I like the fact that when my hands are full of garbage I just wave the back of my hand over the eye and it opens! The only set back and which is why I gave only 4 stars for features is only because if I walk to close by it the lid will open. But that is no big deal at all. Also the odor seems to stay inside the can. As soon as the lid closes the odor dissipates. I would highly recommend this trash can!
A wonderful addition To my kitchen. Just what I needed. a trash can disguised as a piece of art and takes forever to fill up.
This product is AWESOME and nice to have in my Kitchen. It complaints my appliances and brings enhancement to the space.
I lover my new toy! With a household of 7 people, it makes it much easier, especially for my son, who has trash duty as a chore. The trash holds so much more and is clean looking. The only reason I did not rate it a 5 star is because of the trash bag. I bought drawstring trash bags that hold up to 21 gallons but found out that the bags do not fit around the rim well. We are getting by until we use up all of the bags by cutting through the drawstring on each side and expanding the bag. I guess because it is a round can and not rectangular. I'm guessing that the liners without drawstrings will work better. Let's cross our fingers! Otherwise, I love my new toy. Also, it is worth investing in the adaptor, in case your battery goes out.
The idea is grand, but this did not work from day one. The lid would open but not close, and the manual option never worked. To bad, I was excited to have a no touch trash can- but really for the price even if it had worked it I don't believe the quality was worth it- back to reality, should not have spent $140 on a trash can. Initially I read the reviews and figured most people had little issues, the minority had trouble- I fell into that category and with the same problems.
I bought this product and within one day the lid broke and it doesn't open and close at all. It was a waste of money. I wouldn't recommend to anyone!! I always buy from Walmart and have never been disappointed but this time I am greatly disappointed in this product.
This trashcan failed in the second day of use. The automatic lid went up, and has yet to come back down despite unplugging it and waiting 10 minutes, hitting the manual close button numerous times. I also tried the reset by pushing both the manual open and manual close buttons at the same time. Despite all efforts, it sticks in the upright (open) position, and that's no really good for a trashcan when the lid stays open, and certainly not what we were loking for when we bought it. iTouchless is actually iWorthless in this case
