I actually used lego candy molds and made lego soap for my son's birthday pary favors. The kids loved it and they were very easy to make.
The materials are of good quality and are very nice soaps.
Have two doctors that have 4, 5, and 6 year old little girls that I just love getting a surprise. . . .this looks like it will fill the bill, since all three are just starting to be interested in crafts . . .thanks Walmart.com!

I ordered these as gifts for my sister's 1st grade students but turns out, my daughter (25 & 29), my nieces (27 & 17) and my nephews (20, 4 & 3) wanted them. so I gave them to them. WINNING!!! A Big Hit and so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the website, it says for ages 6 and up, but on the package it says ages 15 and up! You don't have to be 15, but a child definitely needs a parent or older sibling's help if you want them to look the same as on the package. It was a little annoying to have to keep reheating the soap to get it liquidy to pour in the colors separately. Plus you need to have hot water on hand to clean out the decorating dippers as the liquid solifies quite quickly. Still, my sister really enjoyed doing some of the cutting, color mixing and pouring this into the molds over the holiday and we did get several of them to turn out quite well and look good like on the box.
Very basic soap making kit. It has everything you require, good for beginners. Not for advanced folks
Kit was on sale which made it an excellent value. Missing were any directions about how to make the soaps turn out like those pictured on the box. Generic directions are included in the box, cut, melt, add fragrance, pour. If I were not an experienced soap maker, I would be confused and sad. More info is needed for some one 15 and older as the box indicates. I bought four so I can make multiple soaps at once.
It's a fun project when youre bored , not really ideal for young kids to help with and it really smells bad.
the kit is easy to use, but the pictures on the front of the box are not going to easily be duplicated. And, you probably need more than one container to melt soap in and color it in order to make different types of decorated soaps. It's a good value and easy to use, but also the soap has a really strong odor to it, so you might want to add some scent and you'll need paper towels to dry the soap on to avoid stains.
