Bought this in may 2015.I loved the design of this refrigerator,it doesn't occupy much space plus select cooling is an amazing idea no other company has that feature.So far performance is great.I highly recommend this over traditional french three door refrigerators.
My wife fell in love with the Samsung 4 Door French/Side-by-Side Refrigerator when she first saw one on a Korean Soap (English Subtitled version) either late 2013 or early 2014. She said she was going to get one when they offered a cabinet depth version. Samsung introduce the cabinet depth version at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the Spring and we purchased one for our home. Cabinet depth refrigerators line up nicely with 24" dept of US cabinets but they have much smaller capacity than standard depths refrigerators so we purchased a side-by-side in the Utility Room to augment. The Samsung 4 Door French/Side-by-Side Refrigerator certainly is pretty as a picture...
I waited to buy this refrigerator. It originally was not available in counter depth. When I discovered that it was in April 2016, I immediately purchased it. I don't have a great need for a large freezer, so the flex option to extend the refrigeration space was the key selling point, along with the ample shelf space it provides. However, I have one of the models that constantly gurgles and bubbles. Not just a little, but most of the time! It is down right annoying as my family room adjoins my kitchen which makes it impossible to escape the gurgling and bubbling sounds. It literally sounds like I have an aquarium in my kitchen. Yes, the manual says that some sounds are normal, REALLY!! I have a friend who has the same refrigerator without the same problem. I've read countless reviews about consumers who own the same refrigerator with most being happy with their purchase but enough who have, "The Sound Problem" like I do, to ask the question of Samsung, "Why hasn't the problem been solved. It my be that only 1 in 10 have the gurgling/bubbling problem, but aren't all purchaser's of this product entitled to the same quality product?!
Ice maker takes away from the refrigerator being one of the best on the market I am a Samsung guy all my appliances in my home are Samsung down to the 7tvs in my home!! So disappointing that we haven't been able to make ice for years I've had this problem fixed twice and still doesn't work!!! Samsung thank you so much for the headache!
the ice tray fails to eject ice properly which causes the ice to hang onto the side of the ice tray upon ejection. the half ejected ice freezes together upon the next water refill attempt.
Purchased this fridge in 2016. It is the worst fridge on the market. It leaks, and we often use towels on the floor to stop the run of water on the floor. A real safety hazard. The ice maker stopped working after 1 year. We bought a freezer to hold our ice. We have a great home but embarrassingly enough we have a cheap product pertending to be a refrigerator. The whole ordeal is awful. Therefore, we're buying an LG model. Consumer Reports ranks Samsung at the bottom. Along with a sick mother to care for this fridge and my Samsung washer added more stress to our lives. No support, no apologies, no solutions, make me stressed and sick. More over, I will not recommend to anyone, I will not buy this product line in the future and I will share my experiences with any and everyone.
I've had this fridge for 5 years and have had to replace the ice maker- both components 5 times- and it's broken again.. dripping water, hate this fridge
There is nothing good about this refrigerator. Samsung service is also lackluster. Spent nearly $5000 on this refrigerator a couple years ago and had a problem with the icemaker ever since. I have been calling in Samsung to fix every other month and every time they say it's done it isn't and now they say I'm out of my warranty to fix the problem I've been having issues with. Not only does it freeze up and not make ice the water always drips having to dry the drip tray out every couple days. The ice basket inside the refrigerator always has ice melting out of it and causes mold around the gasket inside by the icemaker and the refrigerator has a hard time keeping temperature. Excuse the run-on sentences speech to text.
Three years old and I year out of warranty Ice maker is a total disaster. Freezes up and does not perform consistently since original purchase Rubber gaskets under both doors of refrigerator are split Rust surrounding area where water and ice are dispensed !!! The cheapest refrigerator on the market would hold up better after 3 years than a Samsung Very poor quality and poor customer service Advertising looks great but thats the end of the story I'll take a whirlpool or sub zero any day of the week Couldn't even get to 5 years without a problem. That says it all And yes I used the recommended products to clean as manual suggest so don't insult my intelligence
Beautiful but awful! We have had this refrigerator for 3 years and have had the ice maker replaced and the compressor changed. The ice maker worked for a few months then quit again, it's been a year since it's made ice, we had to just buy a counter top ice maker. The compressor is out again and will need replaced. While the compressor is under warranty, the diagnosis and extra parts needed to change the compressor are not. I'm sick of having to pay to fix Samsungs faulty product! It started with the freezer, then the flex compartment and now the entire fridge is out. We have lost so much food because of this refrigerator. I am beyond frustrated at this lemon of a purchase!
