After walking up and down the car seat aisle, I took a closer look to see this one had not only two cup and snack holders, but reading lights! Now she doesn't ask me to turn the car lights on anymore, she does it for herself! Also, the material makes it super comfy, the armrests come up and the back is removable so she can switch cars quickly with a smaller unit to carry around. She even puts on her own seatbelt. The colors were attractive to being that they weren't loud and crazy patterns. Love it!
I was looking for a new booster seat for my 4 year old, since we were heading on a long 12 hr. drive home to see family for the holiday's. I have been looking for months for just the right booster seat for my 4 year old. I walked by this car seat a few day before our trip home. I couldn't believe how great the price and how great it looked. I had my son sit in it and he loved it. It even has reading lights that come included with the booster seat. I looked no more for a booster seat and got this one that day. My son loves it and the lights were a plus on the way ride home to see grandpa and grandma. SUPER PRODUCT & PRICE. A GREAT BOOSTER SEAT!!! If you're looking for a great booster seat, look no more then this seat.
We bought this car seat for our oldest daughter and have been 100% satisfied with it. She loves it and we love that it grows with her. We are going to get one for our other 3 children!
My 3yo has 2, one in tan and one in grey and we love both! The LED activity lights each take 3 AAA batteries but they'll last if you remember to turn the lights off (simple push-button switch) when not in use. The armrests move up and down so it's easy to get in and out. The cupholders on each side have extra spaces for snacks or "stuff." The cushion feels like microsuede but is machine washable and EASY to reattach to the seat. The seat is lightweight and very portable - we've taken it on several vacations and the back fits into the seat (but you will want to put it in a bag if you check it at the airport, since the two pieces won't "click" together unless you leave it as a seat). The one drawback is that sometimes my daughter's head falls forward when she naps, so I just reposition her to be leaning against one of the wingback-style headrests. I found that problem with several booster seats, so unless your child is willing to use a lap pillow or neck pillow, it's rather unavoidable...but as I said, easy to fix. Overall, it was a great purchase; we are extremely pleased!
Three weeks ago, my husband and I decided to buy our 3 year old this booster seat because he had outgrown the convertible car seat that was in my car. We purchased this car seat and I took the booster seat out of my husband's car and put it in mines. My son absolutely loves the new booster seat. He can get up in it by hisself and he looks like he is extremely comfortable. His head doesn't slump forward when he falls asleep. I am just so jealous now that I let my husband have the new car seat. In two weeks, I am going to replace the car seat in my car with one of these. Trust me people. This car seat is well worth the money. I look at prior reviews before shopping at Target, Babies R' us, Walmart, and Burlington Coat Factory. This is the car seat to buy if you are looking for confortability. I can't wait to buy my 2nd one!
My 2 yr. old daughter loved the lights, cup holders, and trays on either side of her seat. The padded handles made resting her arms comfortable. Unfortunately, I had to find out the hard way on Memorial Day '08 how well this carseat handled in a truck rollover. My daughter survived a disasterous trip without a scratch. Be mindful that the carseat only works when you use it properly on every trip no matter how short or how slow you travel. The headrests did a wonderful job in protecting her fragile neck. This product proved itself worthy of protecting my precious cargo.
We bought this seat for our son because he exceeded the weight limit for his previous seat but he isn't ready for a seat like this. He is 4 and 41 pounds. During his awake time, no complaints but during times he was sleeping, I felt he was in danger as he would fall over and his little head bobbled about even with a "boppy" type pillow as there is no recline in this seat at all, pretty well straight up. The seat is super cushy however and it looks really nice. The back is flimsy but it is light and super easy to put together! If we were ready for a booster like this, then I would be happy to use this seat.
We were looking for a no-frills booster seat in anticipation of adding our third child to the mix - rather than go shopping for a new car with a third-row seat, we figured we would try and figure out how to fit three car seats in the back of our CRV. This seat is very easy to set up and put together - it fits well in the back seat and has a low profile that enable us to squeeze the three kids together. One issue that continues to be of minor concern to my wife is the fact that this seat relies solely on the shoulder belt to secure it in place - as a result, our daughter likes to show her independence by leaning forward and even unbuckling herself when she thinks it's time to get out. With a little bit of training, however, this should not be any big deal - after all, she's got to grow up sometime and we can't expect her to be strapped in to a harness until she's 18 (as much as we would like that.) Overall, this seat meets our needs, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to someone with only one or two kids (or someone already committed to the minivan) - if you have the room and it fits in your budget, a more robust seat might be a better option.
I purchased this for my 3 1/2 yr old, we travel alot so I thought the lights would be great for reading, or playing, Well he could not see the lights, his arms were in the way. Also he still falls asleep in the car and there is no where for him to lay or prop his head on. He also takes the shoulder strap off alot, we are working on that. I don't think it is worth the extra money for the car seat.
Haven't had it long, can't speak for longterm durability but the bottom booster seat after recent travel through baggage claim made it with no tears/scratches. Husband thought it was easy to dismantle and setup. Features like cup holders are very nice. My son feels like a big boy and helps unbuckle himself. Seatbelt holder strap required regular adjusting but not a deal breaker. Plan to purchase a similar item for convertible carseat replacement.
