We bought our mother a set of dishes from JC Penney for Christmas '11, but the bowls of the set were not as big as she wanted them to be...esp for days when she made soup and wanted a good, sturdy bowl...the bowls in the JC Penney set are very dainty. I was walking through WalMart one day, and lo and behold there were big bowls that looked exactly like the set we purchased at JC Penney. They had the exact same beading around the edges like the others had and they were the perfect size. I bought as many as I could and set them up in my mother's cupboard and let her find them in with all of her other dishes. She was so happy! My mother LOVES them and they are very sturdy. We've already enjoyed a bowl of soup in them and they couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you WalMart for providing exactly what we needed to finish off a beautiful set of dishes!
