This shoe rack is great for the shoes of men with big feet!
Follow the assembly directions and the shoe rack is sturdy and depndable. Mounting hardware provides 3 options for mounting the shoe rack. Hooked over the door, mounted to the top of the door or mounted to any flat surface.
This shoe rack is fine for the money, don't know why others have had problems putting it together, It took about 10 min to put together and 2 or 3 min to hang it on the door, held about 14 pairs of shoes at this moment without a problem. I am very happy with this purchase, glad I did not believe the reviews others have given or I would have spent more than what I paid for this.
This shoe rack works great on the back of the door. The quality is excellent and I would recommend this shoe rack to anyone. IF YOU FOLLOW THE ASSEMBLY DIRECTIONS IT IS VERY, VERY STURDY.
It was better than I expected. Its been a few weeks since I bought it and it hasn't falling apart yet. Bought this for my kids room, and thinking I will get one for me.
As part of my downsizing, the bedroom closet did not work for a shoe organizer. This one will let me use the closet space for clothing, and organize my shoes on the back of the door, saving space perfectly. Glad I found it and would recommend.
Very helpful with my children
The only bad thing I must say about this shoe rack is that the description states that it can hold up to 24 pairs of shoes. This may be true if your shoe collection consists of low tops or heels that can hang over the edge, but for my normal-width men's shoes/sneakers, I was only able to fit 2 on each rack (16 total). From my personal experience with shoe racks, I never expected to fit the maximum number of shoes onto it, but I didn't think I would undershoot by 8 pairs! Otherwise, it's a sturdy product and it does the job (mostly).
The 'adjustable' door clamps are not. If your door is too wide (mine is just a plain ol' closet door, which was 'too wide') the 'adjustment' is that you must break off a metal flange and then have to screw the rack to the door! How is that 'adjustable'??? And screws not provided. Next, nowhere in the description or on the package does it tell you you need a hammer or, if 'adjusting' to the door width, screws and a screwdriver. Even more importantly, you can fit ONLY 5 shoes across. Not 5 pair of shoes, just 5 shoes (loafers, for example, or a pair of heels) - that's why the photos show only 4 shoes on each tier. Also, if the shoes are regular (women's) sneakers, you can fit just 2 pair side-by-side. Lastly they provide a method of adhering the lower part of the rack to the door. The 'method' is two 1"x 1/2" two-sided sticky foam squares. What 'engineer' came up with that? It's up now, but I wouldn't buy it again nor recommend it to anyone else.
This is by far the worst designed, assemble-yourself products I have ever come across. The idea and concept looks intriguing and adds uniqueness to any bedroom; the only problem is that it was poorly designed for sturdiness and assembly. Those metal-like rods are required to be "firmly hammered" in to the plastic end caps. Doing that only bends the tip of the rod; making installing the opposite end cap nearly impossible. MAINSTAY DESIGNERS SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF A TWIST AND LOCK MECHANISM FOR THE RODS. I highly NOT recommend this product to anyone and everyone who considers buying this product.
