[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave matches perfectly with my double oven. I like the buttons at the bottom because I can actually see what I am selecting. I'm short and our microwave it over the stove so it is easier for me to select what I want. I like the black stainless because to me it looks elegant in my kitchen
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good overall performance. Love the extenda-vent , keeps the moisture off the front of the door (especially since his is where the keypad lives) One thing to be aware of is the larger than expected door notch. Could make it problematic if your cabinet doors above the microwave don't adjust
We had purchased a nearly identical microwave 3 years ago in stainless steel, minus the vent extender. We had good luck with that one & enjoyed the layout of controls. Earlier this year, we purchased black stainless LG range and fridge. The microwave is situated over the range. When our son bought a house, he needed a microwave. We gave him the LG stainless steel unit and we purchased the black stainless version, which includes the vent extension. It has so far given the same quality of use. Since the control layout is identical to the stainless unit, using it is seamless. The black stainless is quite attractive. Very happy with looks and operation. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Much better than the typical OTR microwave. Has a more powerful 400 CFM fan (most have 300 CFM) and the ExtendaVent is a great feature. These two features help suck the fumes and grease away from your range top and out of the kitchen. No more greasy cabinets above my range! Also, I love my LG range. I use it almost daily to either griddle or use the fabulous convection roast oven. Had it for 5 years.
Love this over the oven microwave cooks great with a softening setting anyone who ever had to set butter or cream cheese out knows this is great. One thing after about the first month the internal light had to be replaced [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in Feb to replace my old crumbling microwave. This is the most reliable product from LG. It works flawlessly. One of the greatest feature of this product is additional slide out suction vents. This feature is life saver for me, otherwise the coking smell spreads very quickly to my entire home. Finger print resistant, easy controls are amongst other features.
What I like most about this microwave is the slide-out vent with four speed of slow, low, high and turbo. The turntable can be off and on and has energy saving as well. You can thaw meat, reheat food, boil water, can cook pretty much anything, soften icecream including raising yeast dough. The manual that come with it tells you what this microwave can do more for you. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We were so excited to find a microwave that extended out! The steam from cooking on the front burners below would always rise to the wood cabinets above. This extended vent prevents that and save my cabinets! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this microwave and within a year, the display went dim intermittently. I called in a warranty repair. The tech came out to fix it and after two visits and ordering parts twice due to a damaged part being received, it worked...for awhile. The display went dim again. At this point i decided to live with it since it was an intermittent issue and such a hassle to get it repaired. Now the display is completely dark on one side. I'm stuck with it and LG won't repair it. In addition to this issue, the extend-a-vent plastic has cracked twice since owning it. Also had it repaired under warranty.
I bought all 4 of my appliances in black stainless. To date every single one has had the finish peeling off. This microwave has been replaced once and worked on 4 times due to electrical issues. The led screen blips out when selecting anything. On two different ones and a replaced door. The fan still doesn't pick up and exhaust correctly the front trim broke off and had to be replaced. The latch for the vent broke so now it's just sticking out. I can't believe I wasted my money on these.
