the product I received was very good quality much more than I expected. I was very pleased with my purchase. this was a Christmas gift and I was worried about placing the order without having seen the product in person, but I was very happy upon arrival. I do recommend getting a longer hose to extend the tank further from the pit.
We are very happy with the fire pit. It puts out just the right amount of heat for cool evenings. My husband built a table to hide the tank, which is a great place to put drinks and food. The quality is great for a fire pit in this price range. The marble top is not the best quality but should last for many years. If you like this fire pit get one soon as we were told they have been discontinued.
We purchased the fire pit on sale, and I wish I had bought more at the time. My kids all want one and I am not able to find them. We put ours on our deck at the river and have really enjoyed it. I usually can't operate a VCR but I am able to turn it on with no problem. We built a small box that matches the deck for the tank. If you can find it you will love it....the only problem, you need to check the box and make sure it is not cracked on the base. Ours was but we fixed with caulking the color of the base.
My wife and I have been looking for a LP gas fire pit for over 6 mos. When I went online to Walmarts web site and found this product with all the features we wanted at such a great price, I was shocked. It arrived by common carrier it the promised delivery time just before Christmas. Be prepared to have someone help you move it, this is not a cheap, light weight item. Assembly is a snap. This unit gave our Christmas guests hours of enjoyment and warmth. We use it almost every night. I wish Walmart would stock it in their stores, it would be a real mover.
I've received very nice comments from friends on the fire pit. I live in a very dry rural area where fire hazards are high, so I decided on a propane fuel system vs. having to use firewood that causes dangerous sparks. The marble rim had a crack in it, but was expoxied at the factory, so I decided not to have the 130 lb. pit returned for replacement. I also added a 5 foot extension on the gas line so I could have the propane bottle further away from the flame. Gas line is routed under deck to box containing gas bottle.
Very easy to put together. I do think I will take the suggestion in a previous review about adding rocks. Very sturdy and seems like it will last a long time. I have priced gas fire pits and this is by far the best value I have found.
This was hard to get as shipping seems to damage the mantel and we had to return the first one & try again. Have finally received one that was good enough to keep. Really love the convience and "no mess" factor. Have enjoyed many evenings by the fire.
We used our fire pit for the first time last night, it was really nice. The "flagstone" is obviously "faux", but still looks good, and the ceramic "logs" are a bit cheesy. We'll probably replace them with stones of some sort. I like that it has a nice wide ledge to set drinks on.
This product is extremely easy to set up and use. I was only disappointed after noticing slight rust around the exposed screws on the inside ring after less than a week on my patio. There was no rain during that time to cause the rust to occur. Otherwise a great product for what it is intended to do.
This is the cheapest gas fire pit I could find; however, it did not meet my expectation. The fake stone is not attractive. The gas tank is not covered and therefore need to be placed right next to the fire pit (ugly scene). Walmart is great, however. I returned it to the store and was refunded immediately. Shopping at Walmart is great and customer service is superb.
