Works better than expected, does a great job cooling my 12X14 room. It was very easy to set up. The only issue is that it is quite loud, but I'd gladly deal with that over the heat and humidity of the summer. Worked so well, my parents were impressed and purchased the 12,000 BTU one and are equally happy. My only fear is my utility bill, which I haven't received yet, but I have only had to use the A/C sporadically thus far this summer.
I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT. IT KEEP MY HOME VERY COMFORTABLE DURING THE HOT WEATHER IN CALIFORNIA. I JUST WISH I HAD PURCHASED IT SOONER....
better than i thought it would be cools a 12x12 room fast havent tried the heat yet if it is like cooling it will be great instilation is not over 10 min.
this a/c unit was easy to set up, easy to operate, and cooled down a fairly large room. to be honest, it didnt, do it as fast as the wall mounted unit i had, but then again that was a 15,000 btu unit. for the price this is a steal. and for a new yorker when the summers are hot and the winters are cold, this baby has a heater.
This unit was very easy to assemble and use. We have a similar unit that was not nearly as simple to set up. This seems like a good product for the cost.
Just got the product and used it a couple of times. The only negative thing I can say right now is the venting being a little bulky and a eye sore.
This product per the reviews I saw looked great, installation a little bit of a problem for someone who does not know how to seal a window a lot of air space in the window with the spacer they gave you. Luckily I knew what to do. Another thing was the dehumdifier alert came on, had no idea what was wrong and had to carry the unit to the tub to drain it akthough that is not the normal means, as the plug they give you was hard to take out. Plus the dehumidifier was only on for about 2 hours before the alert (as it was full), so DO NOT use it as a dehumidfier!!!! Unless you want to empty it ever couple hours. Cools the small room I am using it in well though.
It does blow warm and cold air. I finally figured out how all the buttons work in the summer, but the fall heating is freaking me out. It seems the unit has a thermometer that shuts it off when the unit thinks it has warmed the room to the correct temp. That's a shame because my room has drafty areas. The air vents can't be adjusted either, they are aimed in one position and that's it. I didn't use the anti-humidity function this year and that's a concern because I don't see any way to drain the unit without a lot of hassle. It works, but that's all I can say.
HAIER 9000btu A/C-Heater, does not put out heat, just 75* when set on 80* and the cooling is not doing it's job. I have wasted my money!
We bought this product expecting it to cool down a room and an office attachment room that is about 300-350 square feet in total. This airconditioner did not cool down this area well. We had to close the door of the bedroom that is about 12x12 (144 SQ feet) and it took about 1 hour to coll that area down from 82-72 degrees. If you are using this air conditioner for a very very small space, it will work (but slow), other than that, I would not recommend it. It was not worth $350. Not even close to that price.
