I have been drinking Carnation Breakfast Essentials for decades! I used to drink milk chocolate until dark chocolate was available. The dark chocolate is not as sweet and I have been hooked on it ever since! I am so upset that it has been discontinued! Please reconsider producing it again. From the reviews, it looks as if you'll make a lot of people happy!☺
I have been drinking this every day for at least 2 decades, whenever it was that I first found it. I could only find it at Heinen's in our area, NO other stores carried it. When I saw the spot where they had kept the Dark Chocolate filled with Rich Milk Chocolate, and the tag on the shelf changed, I got a very bad feeling about it. This was the only one I would drink, this was my morning coffee, and made it simple and pleasurable to drink yummy chocolaty milk without adding super sweet taste. I guess this will force me to make up my own mix with cocao powder now.
I have been enjoying the dark chocolate from the time it was available & after years of using your milk chocolate "Instant Breakfast" powder. My local grocery stopped carrying it recently & added the new mocha flavor. I was hoping that they were tight on available shelf space...but it appears from recent ratings/responses that you have discontinued this flavor! SO VERY disappointed! I think the reason sales were poor was the name. Many think dark chocolate can be bitter, and with 2 chocolate flavors available, buyers probably opted for the more tried & true one, which sounded more appealing "Rich Milk" Chocolate! Please bring it back...but with a better name!
I've been drinking this flavor every morning for the past 5+ years and loving it. I tried all the other flavors in a variety pack and didn't like any of them. Carnation Instant Breakfast also makes it easier for me to take my medicine than with water. Please reconsider and bring it back.
The Dark Chocolate Breakfast Essentials is my favorite because the chocolate flavor is rich and smooth. Unfortunately, this flavor is hard to find in stores. Sadly, the only store in my area that carried this flavor just discontinued it. I hope Carnation will look in to this matter and help make Dark Chocolate just as available as its other flavors.
The only way I was ever able to buy it was in the assorted box. I have been looking for it for a long time only to see that you have discontinued it! Please bring it back it was the best. I'm sure more people would have bought this if you had only done some marketing for it.
This is the best out there! It's not too sweet as most others seem to be. I have a medical issue and soooooo many foods make me sick to my stomach therefore a LOT of my nutrients came from carnation dark chocolate mix. I really dont know what to do as there was no forewarning of the discontinuance and it was the only flavor I care for.
My sons and I drink this dark chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast Each Morning for our Protein, we don't eat breakfast upon wakening, therefore the CIB holds us over until lunch. Thank You Jet.com for carrying this product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Just found out you have discontinued the Dark Chocolate flavor. Please, NOOOOOOOO!!!!! It's the only flavor I drink! I've been drinking IB for breakfast since high school. I tried the Dark Chocolate about 3 years ago, and it's the BEST FLAVOR EVER!!! Please, Please, Please, BRING IT BACK!!! All the other reviewers want it back too! We'll buy it!!!
I got a sample of the milk chocolate Carnation breakfast essential nutritional drink and I like it and I would recommend it. I use regular or 2% cup of milk with mine. I know I don't get all the nutrients that I need protein,vcalcium or any of the vitamins or minerals so this comes in handy and it's quick and it taste good.
