I purchased this at Walmart because of the price, best price out there. I was apprehensive because of some of the reviews about the battery. This is a christmas present for my 9 yr. old granddaughter, so I pulled it out of the box, put it together (the only thing to assemble is the handlbar and attaching the front wheel) you have to adjust the brake and finish inflating the tires. Super easy, only took about 10 min. I charged the battery, initially it needs to charge around 10 hrs. I hit the switch, turned the throttle, and BAM, ready to go. besides being sooo cute I think she will LOVE this. I actually test drove this myself, it handled good and was definatley fast enough. Now, I'm going to bling it out. Dont think twice guys, any child would love to have this.
We purchased this bike 2 Christmas ago for my then 8 year old daughter. She rode it some last summer, she may of been a little small for it. Since the weather has broke she has been riding her bike everyday! She even rides her little brother! Its a fun bike for the whole family. I even take a turn now and again. We have not had any issues with the battery. We charge it nightly when it is being used. We also keep it in our shed so it doesnt get wheathered.
My sister and I purchased matching scooters for our 11 year old daughters for Christmas. We were very pensive about spending this kind of money for a toy. We have had no problems. We charged the battery according to the directions, in fact verified (online) the charging procedure because of other people's problems with the battery. It is now 3 months later and they STILL tool around on these cute little scooters. If they crashed and burned now, it would still have been worth it. They love them and are always out on picnics and adventures. OUTSIDE! It's all good. I wish they made them bigger, for us bigger kids!
My lil girl loves it shes 8. My kids have some much fun with it I had to buy my 12 yr old the red one.
AWESOME... even i have had a ride! they love them. easy to charge.. been used everyday since Christmas. We just plug em in on a night and away they go the next day after school...
We bought this for our 8 yr old daughter for Christmas. (a little under the age limit) but she could ride a bike and balances just fine. She does wear a helmet. She is now 10 and still rides it almost every day. We live on a cul-de-sac and she's always up and down the road. She has turned too fast and fallen over on it, but again, safety equipment so no real injuries. I highly recommend this scooter. You plug it in to charge it and the charge does hold for a long time. Probably at least 2-3 hrs of constant riding. It's so much fun. I wish I could ride it all day too! Our pug Max enjoys a ride on the foot rest too.
We gave this to my 10 year old daughter for her birthday. It was so much fun! I think she rode it everyday for a month. BUT... About 2 months after her bithday the battery would not stay charged for more than 30 seconds. I called Razor and they told me we must not be maintaining the battery properly. (We actually were very careful to follow the instruction manual EXACTLY because we had a similar problem with an electric scooter last year.) So now my only option is to replace the battery at the cost of $80-$90!! I am so disappointed in this product and their company response. This toy was so much fun --- it's just so sad the fun doesn't last.
we bought this for our 7 1/2 year old daughter for christmas she is 63 lbs. this fits her perfectly. it is very cute and she loved riding it for one day. as soon as the battery died it would not recharge. we called walmart in march, they were wonderful. i couldn't find the receipt but they took it back. walmart was out in our 3 local stores so they gave us a gift card. i read the reviews before i bought this so i knew i was taking a chance with getting a bad battery. i will order another one. if this one has a bad battery we will get something else.
I purchased this product last Christmas for my 12 year old daughter. I thought this would be the perfect gift for her but after about 4 month the battery would not stay charged. I called razor and they told me that it was nothing that they could do about it. I am very very disappointed with this company and this product and would not recommend this to anyone.
Just like other customers, I purchase two pocket mod scooters for my 11 and 9 year old at Wal Mart. One of them is not running as it should be. ( 2MPH). Called Razor and he told me that it must be the charger, buy a new one from them. Still not running. Called them again and said it is the batteries. The kids hardly use the scooter since we live in WA. RAIN, and RAIN al the time, they use the scooter no more than 20 times in all, and we only allow them to use it in our drive way. Do you want to spend that much for something does not even going to last for 1 year?
