It rolls by itself and lights up and sings, my daughter loves it.
My 7mo old grand-daughter is not crawling yet so I do not put it on to move as she would not be able to go after it just yet. But, I let her play with it off and she likes to look at the colors and touch the tabs. I am sure this will be a lot of fun once she starts to crawl..
I gave this to my granddaughter for her birthday and her mother says it was a hit! She and her older siblings enjoy playing with the many activities and particularly like that it will change directions on its own.
We received this ball as a gift when we had our baby, she is now 7 months and absolutely loves it! It was one of the first toys she really started interacting with. I'd sit on the floor with her and she's just watch it roll around. It was really helpful in her early development. We just bought this as a gift for our 7 month old niece because she also really enjoyed playing with it whenever she came over. This is a great toy and makes a great gift for friends/family who may be expecting as well.
My grand daughter was born 6 weeks early and so we've been trying to get things that would stimulate her learning. She is now 10 months old and I bought her this ball a week ago and she loves it!! She follows it all over the house!! Until she got this she would try to get from place to place but was slow at the process. Now she is fast and having a lot of fun as she learns. Thank you for such a wonderful product. I would reccomend this for any child to enjoy as learning.
For 3 month old music and lights. Later to encourage movement and to roll to and from each other which teaches interaction. Mostly it's just fun. I wouldn't let a child play with it alone who could throw it. It's quite heavy and could break something.
I purchased this for my 11 month old daughter and she loves it. It makes a lot of noise. I thought that the ball would roll away from her to encourage her to walk or crawl to it but it only wobbles in a small circle. The ball has many songs and sounds that your baby will love.
but not so good on carpet because it doesn't roll around much. Do most baby play on floor or carpet? my baby is only 6 month and not stable enough to play around on hard surface floor. I wished they make the motor stronger to roll more otherwise it has more buttons for music+talking which lasts longer, very soft and easy to activate for young babies compare to "Bright Starts Having a Ball Roll". I like the 2 settings of sound volume as well. It will be perfect if it rolled around more.
My granddaughter (10 months old) looked it over, touched the ribbons and the ladybug on top, clapped to the "if you're happy and you know it'' tune but then lost interest in it. I was disappointed in the toy because I thought it would roll across the floor--it just sits in one place and kind of spins for a few seconds. We could barely hear the music. My daughter told me to return it.
For the first couple of weeks the product worked just fine then all of a sudden the product started to malfunction and the songs started to jumble. This has happened with several Vtech products and at first I thought it was the batteries but now Im starting to think that its a manufacturing issue.
