It does what it's supposed to do, at a price that's hard to believe. Stockpile a bunch for the holidays. A perfect gift for the teacher, the paperboy, the letter carrier, etc. (Won' fit in a standard Christmas stocking.)
I bought this clock even after reading some bad reviews, glad I did works as described, easy set up. Bought four more for gifting. The only thing I didn't like is that some sites advertise indoor and outdoor temp... it only has indoor, no problem anyway.
Motion sensor works well with clock. I haven't had it long enough to know how long the batteries last in the clock, but I would have liked to see an optional AC plug. The atomic sync didn't work for me, but it is not in an optimal position for the signal.
Not bad for the price, but I have 2 problems with it, I cannot adjust the contrast, which makes it hard to see during the day, and I cannot make the backlight to be on all the time, which would resolve the contrast problem.
It was complicated to set up, little buttons. We are computer geeks and thought the thing was made as complicated as possible for people. Sometimes the night light goes on without the clock lighting up. To turn off the alarm, you have to hit a tiny button on the back! It does wake you up to do that I suppose. Now that I have it all set, it is not too bad. I sure don't want to change the batteries and reset it though.
I like how the numbers are so big and easy to read. I just wish I could figure out how to make the sensor light work so the backlight comes on from movement or when it is dark.
I received the clock, installed the batteries and set the time zone. When it found the signal, it set the time to Pacific time, even though I had it set to Eastern. Two calls to tech support resulted in my returning the unit to Walmart for a refund. Great idea, but in this case the product was defective
All the features do not work no matter what you do. It is not as advertized, and it just isn't loud enough. We took it back the morning after we tried it one night.
Purchased two of these, because the functions were exactly what I wanted. I have tried to get the clocks to work correctly for over a week, including having other family members read and follow the instructions, and contacting the manufacturer. The bottom line is that the atomic clock function does not give the correct time in any time zone except, perhaps, the Pacific zone. It looks like it will work, and then in a few hours, it just goes to what time it is in the Pacific time zone. I called the manufacturer, and they acknowledge that I'm setting everything correctly, and they can't explain what is wrong or how to fix it. They recommend returning both of them to Walmart. Sorry - it was just what I wanted, if it had worked according to the description and according to the instruction manual.
THIS IS WAY TOO HUGE, ONLY WORKS WITHIN 700 MILE OF COLORADO ATOMIC CLOCK. MOTION DETECTOR IS A SEPERATE PIECE WHICH ALSO TAKE UP TOO MUCH ROOM. NOT FOR A NIGHTSTAND DEFINATELY
