I have had this printer for three years. It is used to make labels for terminal identification on our motor control line. It is easy to use, and prints fast. The software is very efficient.
This is my second Brother QL label pinter. I ordered this one for the 4" capability. Both are exceptional - never had a problem. Software is easy to install, and keeps itself updated. Can't ask for more than that.
Wow- SO MUCH easier to use with my Macs compared to the previous brand I owned! I absolutely LOVE this little printer! Makes shipping a breeze for my online sales! It was SO SIMPLE to set up and worked IMMEDIATELY. I haven't had to to do any "figuring out" or trouble shooting. The printer was affordable and so are the label tapes! I used an ethernet cable to connect it to my network so I can print labels from anywhere in the house! Fast, reliable quality printouts every time. I wish I had used the Brother QL-1060N from the beginning! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!
I am happy about my purchase , everything function great! one request I m going to use it in Tunisia, but no suppliers for rolls in there, so I have to order it from here USA, AND THAT WILL COST ME EXTRA.
What's there to say! It's a good network printer. The only con is that none of the Brother's network label printers (I also own QL-720NW) has auto sleep function which is weird. All of the all in one's and printers have the auto sleep feature. Why Brother? Are you not able to add a simple function?
First, I like the quality of this printer, as always with my other Brother printers. However, I purchased this printer after I saw Brother's web support site list a Linux driver for this exact model and is available for download. After receiving it, I tried many times with installing and re-installing the downloaded Linux driver, and I am unable to print a single label out of the printer. I called up Brother's Support line, only was told to look for their web site, because they do not support Linux over the phone. Will not recommend it for being used with Linux.
Love the printer, it works fantastically, but the issues using it with labels from other suppliers is frustrating and the exorbitant costs of Brother labels means we are looking at other printer options.
If you buy this printer to print USPS, UPS FEDEX and E-Bay 4"x6" labels, then forget about it. This printer does not support those labels. You can't format those labels to the printer paper. I just sent my printer back.
I bought the latest greatest Printer from Brother on a special. Great price LOUSY PRINTER. Firstly the driver loading is clunky, It doesn't tell you when its done, it doesn't ask you to plug in the unit so they can sync up. We use primarily eBay for our business. eBay doesn't even have a setting for this printer and when labels are printed it comes out in the wrong format. To add fuel to the fire you need the latest version of Java to even run the printer and that's even clunky. Windows 8 FORGET IT. Doesn't work. Our best advice is buy something else.
I would think that if i select the correct paper size in Microsoft Word that i will print on the label printer.
