We love GE products. Always buy them. This GE dryer is for our second home and is our second purchase. The one we replaced lasted over 10 years with zero problems. We also have recently in last 2 years bought 2 GE washers. One for our home and one for our second home. Love GE's
I absolutely live by new GE washer/dryer set. It is my first ever washer and dryer purchase for my very first home. They are the best washer and dryer I have ever used and affordable. I enjoy this washer and dryer my first set I bought and think the name brand very strong built and does very well I have 6 kids and not a problem washing or drying for my family size it's great pair and happy with the product five stars all the way thank you .
This was purchased as a replacement for a 25 year old GE dryer that finally stopped working. The controls are somewhat intuitive, but I read the included manual to get the most out of this dryer. I love the interior light (a nice touch)! The buzzer that indicates the end of the drying cycle is loud enough to wake the dead! It is adjustable and I did adjust it. It was so loud that I jumped in my chair which is about 8 feet away. This would make a great morning alarm! Overall I am happy, but time will tell how durable this dryer is.
I love this dryer and it's matching washer. They have plenty of options for a custom load every time, plus they have a sleek (almost)retro design to them that I am in love with!
Love this washer and dryer perfect for my family I have 6 kids and can wash and dry without problems the brand definitely holds it value strong and washer dry nicely.my first washer dryer set been great .

Just installed this dryer three days ago. We actually bought a Maytag first and returned it, because the top of the dryer was beveled and you couldn't set anything on it without it falling off. This dryer has a flat top design which we love. I almost went with the next step down due to price, but didn't because it didn't have a “low” heat setting for delicate items and I use that often. Glad I stuck with the model I did. I love that it has old school dials and not all the electronic buttons. To me that's just more stuff that can go wrong. Heats quickly and efficiently, but does seem a little louder than my previous dryer, but I'll get used to it. I do like that it was slightly larger than most competitors 7.2cubic feet vs 7.0, but the overall unit was still narrower than our old dryer giving us a bit more space in the laundry room despite being larger in capacity space, the vent is on the inside so no more dust all over the top of the dryer when you pull out the vent to clean it and the price was affordable. Hoping this lasts us for years to come. I'm giving it 4 stars for three reasons: 1) The signal to alert that the cycle is done is VERY LOUD and VERY LONG (I've even adjusted the volume and it's still too loud, but I want to know when it's done so I'm keeping it on the lowest buzzer setting. We counted and the signal buzzes for 11seconds!) 2) The door is hard to shut, but it's new so hopefully it starts wearing in a bit and becomes easier. 3) The vent is hard to remove and insert, but again it's new so it could just be sticking in the beginning.
I just got the dryer today. I did a medium wash then into the new dryer and I set it for 40 mins but the clothes were still damp so I then used the "more dry" and it was fine. There is a light inside never had that before! There is a Signal button you can adjust for sound, I never did hear it's buzz but that's okay. I will wait a few months and update if necessary.
It has a reminder to clean lint after every drying cycle. It is very roomy for drying blankets. Various drying settings. I love the fact that it the dryer signal goes off several times to let you know the cycle is finished to prevent over drying and to save wasted energy. Knob doesn't turn easy to set the timer
