Love this machine. It has so many stitches and so many feet. Sews very nicely and quiet. The only downfall is you have to fold up the thread spool to put the lid cover on so I just take the thread off the spool and set on the bed of the machine. I also wish it would have been a whole case not just a top. Also wish it had a automatic thread cutter. Would definitely recommend this machine though. Great machine for the money.
I love this machine! Its more than what I expected and quiet as well! I've been using the machine for hours daily. It was worth every cent.
This machine has nice decorative stitches and comes with all the feet you will need to start your sewing journey. The speed control is nice for beginner sewers and for doing fine work. The monogramming is a nice touch, although it would be nice if you could enlarge the letters a little more. Does not do great on heavy fabrics like multiple layers of denim, so go slow.

I'm learning to quilt now & appreciating all the little things that Brother built into this machine to make quilting easier, like the special piecing stitches with 1/4” seam allowance, being able to move the needle in tiny increments, etc. Only 4 stars due to the TINY 5½" throat space, the presser foot screw that's so small as to be almost unusable and the lack of a presser foot pressure adjustment that my mother's 1960s Kenmore had!
I now have 2 Brother machines. I love them. The only thing wrong with this one is i have been spoiled by a automatic thread cutting button. Spoiled from my other machine thats all. Lol. Otherwise, Awesome machine.
For beginners it's ok. The start button light didn't work. Brother advertises an automatic cutter but it's a manual cutter on the side of the machine. Not enough monogram fonts. I returned it. I need something more advanced
