I bought this sewing machine for Black Friday so it was really cheap but it is such a awesome machine. I really like and I think you will too!! Great product!
I've bought 4 of these machines. 1 for myself and then for my granddaughters and a niece. Works well. I've even sewed vinyl for a car seat cover.
This is my first sewing machine! I feel that it is a great kind and size for me as starting a new craft. I will use it daily on odds and ends teaching myself which is also easy. It is lightweight and stores anywhere with its small size which is very important as I am living in a 5th wheel now. It was sent on time as well.
The Brother 20-Stitch Sewing Machine is an excellent buy! Right out of the box it was easy to set-up, and get started. Operation manual and instructions cards are easy to understand. I believe it is more of a beginners sewing machine with extra features like the variable stitch width and length control and a easy bobbin winding system. I am a beginner, so this machine exceeded my expectation.
I got my sewing machine on this Thanksgiving Black Friday for this price and I'm so glad I did! I am new to sewing and I have no idea what I was doing. This machine straight from the box is assembled and easy to use! The instructional DVD that comes with it is awesome!!! It shows you the parts of your machine, how to use the foot pedal, how to thread your bobbin, how to thread your machine for sewing, how to adjust the tension of your machine ( you have to adjust the tension every time you have different fabrics and material), how to go from straight stitch to zig zag stitch, how to make your stitch wider or closer together, and how to do a reverse stitch etc. Since getting my machine I have watched so many Youtube videos! I made a cover for my sewing machine, and now I have started working on my family Christmas stockings! I thought the fabric for my stocking were going to be too thick for the machine but it wasn't! My first one turned out perfectly!!! i'm having so much fun and I can't wait to do more projects for my family!
Works great. Easy to thread. Didn't have any problem with the bobbin. Would recommend as a beginner sewing machine!
This sewing machine is perfect for what I bought it for, which is for mainly mending. It has no fancy "bells and whistles", just sews a straight seam, backs up and zig zags. No complicated features to learn. It is so much easier to thread than my old 35 year old White sewing machine. And the bobbin threads easily also. Perfect for someone who doesn't know much about using a sewing machine.
I have been using my Brother 20 stitch sewing machine ever since I purchased it. I ordered it online & it was here at my door in no time flat! From that moment on I've been exploring it's easy to operate options. It has met my expectations. Very easy to wind the bobbin & change the stitch & even so easy to thread. I highly recommend this product.
I purchased it on black Friday. it is so worth the money. it is very easy to use. it does drive me crazy some times when it gets unthreaded but that is mostly my fault because I am a beginning. I have compared it to my friend's singer prefix and I feel it is better in that it has 20 stitches, but the singer showed you pictures of what the zig zag line would look this and with this you have to test it.
Glad I bought this machine. It was on sale for Black Friday, and had been shopping for a "Brother" machine in particular. It was very simple to set up. Settings are very simple, and basic. It's exactly what I needed for at home fixes, and projects. Also, it's light weight for me to move around.
