This item was way better than the wheel it replaced. It even had a grease fitting! Very happy and cheaper than a replacement from Tru Temper. Site to store is great for shipping too and very quick. Had to order online as the store didn't have any due to end of season.
Received one from a different vendor previously that apparently had 3 pin size holes in it -- wouldn't stay filled more than 4-5 days without having to refill. Received this one from Walmart and ran down to the auto dept and they filled and dunked it to check for any leaks BEFORE I even took it home. Add that added value to free ship-to-store of a perfect replacement for the original wheel and tire and you must agree that Walmart delivered a great bargain. My 35+ year-old wheelbarrow is back in business. Thanks MaxPower and Walmart.
Purchased to replace a worn out tire on a wheelbarrow we use on our property near Boulder, It fits where the other tire and axle were and seems a heavier duty outfit than the original.
Well Constructed and Durable, however, there are some matters that may require a handy man's attention: Based on other reviews and product ratings the product may come with a grease fitting for the hub. No grease fitting was installed on my unit. However, my product had a hole drilled in the axel shaft for a grease fitting. I threaded the hole and installed the grease fitting myself. The wheel hub had several nicks, to bear metal, in it - if you receive yours with the same condition, then spray paint them to avoid rust problems. Rusting around the edge of the hub rim is the primary cause of failure of tubeless tires.
I seem to have gone through several wheelbarrow wheels in the last few years, they were all junk almost from day one, this is a good appearing assembly, with a tubeless one piece rim/hub, grease fitting and bearings. Hard to say what time will do, but superior initially to what else I've tried. Quick delivery to store for free shipping.
At a very reasonable price this replacement wheel fit perfectly. It doesn't come with axle spacers because the hub area is wide just like my old wheel and doesn't need any. Unlike some reviews-- this wheel does have a lubrication nipple.
The wheel itself is very well made but not enough info is given on the website as to its dimensions. The bore length was much too long and the axle diameter was too large. By no means is this wheel a universal fit. I had to return it and the search for a wheel continues.
It was not exactly the same, but with some modifications it works well. Even tho the grease fitting broke off while greasing the bearings. Cheaply made.
I gave it a good value rating because it was the best value after I researched for a wheelbarrow wheel. The problem I had was my axil didn't fit in the wheel. It was a tad too large and I couldn't tell that until I tryed to fit it in. The wheel was fine and would have been used had the axil fit therefore it didn't meet expectations.
We bought this same tire in April, used it for a week, then parked the wheelbarrow. We went to use it again the first of Sep, and it was completely rotted, and it was in the shade the whole time. Our previous tire lasted 35 years, this did not even last 5 months. They would not refund it because it was over 90 days. Over all, it is a bad deal. We finally got an associate to order the present one for us, but I don't have any expectation it will be any better.
