These are great for the small suet balls of peanuts shelled of course
Great feeder for peanuts. Just be warned that squirrels like them too!
This was easy to fill, easy to adjust where the perches sat for the birds. It seems made of sturdy and durable materials -- pleased with this purchase.
My small birds love it. Especially when I fill this "Green Wire" with Sunflower seeds (in or out of Hull) and Safflower seeds (I mix them occasionally) which they also love.
I struggled for quite a while and quite a few swears. The next day I put the washers and water into a microwave safe cup. Took the mug out when it was boiling and, voila, they slipped on. Once they cooled off they are not going to come off.
I bought this to supplement my normal feeders and hoped that the design would allow woodpeckers to eat but discourage those pesky starlings…Nope The starlings empty this fill container in a day and a half! With a limited budget, I have shelved this item and replaced it with an upside down suet feeder…loaded with woodpecker suet….
The lid keeps falling off. The included “perches” don't fit at all so birds can't rest to get the suet. Pure junk.
The washers that come with the product to install the perches are too small, making the perches impossible to assemble. I broke one perch stick while trying to slide the washer on.
you are unable to secure the 3 perching sticks (green plastic) to the feeder for the birds to rest on and eat. The 3 plastic washers are too small to go over perching rods!
Can't find seed that is the right size. Took it to the Wild Bird store and tried shelled peanuts, but no, birds have left it alone.
