Good size, just like described.
I do love this piece although I do wish the ceramic log was a little taller. When I use three gel fuels, you can see the one canister in the middle. I may place stone at the bottom to raise it a little.
Better than expected
The box we got had a few blemishes on it from the factory. You could tell they tried to feather it out during a rework period. It looked like the product had been rushed through production and quality checks. The box tucks into the cabinet rather well, so the imperfections do not stand out, unless you are within 3 ft or less. The log is pretty cool. It looks real. It has some weight to it too. The fuel cans tuck behind it in the fire box. It makes the unit look good, and is eye catching like the slate finish on the cabinet.
I'm sure the firebox will suffice for what it was designed to do, but a bit more imagination regarding the log set configuration is needed. The log set does not lend itself to a realistic look. I'm disappointed, really I am.
