This unit keeps my 1042 sq ft home comfortable during the winter months. I have saved 3 times in electric bills vs the price I spent on this unit. I've owned this unit for 2 winters and it's still working just as well as the day I bought it. The fan sound is more an ambient sound and does not interrupt tv viewing. The floor in front of the fireplace is very warm but so would any fireplace. We love this unit and are buying one for our mother...
