I bought this game as a Xmas gift for my wife who is a Sims fanatic and she absolutely loves it. With all the different things she can do and the detail that EA put into it, you can create so many different senerios that it's not even funny. I also bought the World Expansion pack that give you a tremendous amount of locations to travel to just for added fun. If you like virtual life games then you got to get Sims 3.
This is a great game to get unless you don't have time to get hooked on it. I don't do a whole lot of gaming, but I have a hard time walking away from this one. I always find myself with "one more thing to do" and then end up doing more and more. I would definitely recommend this game.
I Rather Enjoy Playing This Game. I Have Sims 1 And Sims 2..Sims 2 Stopped Playing On My Computer And Even Though I Enjoyed Sims 2. I Enjoy The Fact That Whenever I Move Into A New House I Don't Have To Answer A Door Because The Neighbors Have Come Over To Welcome Me..
The Sims 3 is a great game but you MUST have a powerful computer to play it - the only real drawback. The system requirements show what you need to get the game running, but not what you need to actually play the game - yes, there is a difference!!! If you have a powerful computer, I would recommend you get the game. If you don't, upgrade your computer, then get the game!
Game play is great i like that i can follow my sim thou out the city. Graphics is great i like the over look of the entire game. Customization is great I like to be able to customize my sim and my house and the city. I cant wait to purchase add on content.
Bought this for my daughter, who is a Sims expert and huge fan. She loves it!
Depending on your computer I would recommend that you make sure everything that is on your computer is up to date with today video cards other wise you will have a very slow performance rating with this game...It has a guide to help you through most of the process and something you will need to figure out on your own but over all its a great game I highly recommend it to all the Sims Lovers out there that also includes me...^_^ Other than that Everyone enjoy the game.
People who say its lagging or slow do not have the specs to run the game. They might just have game mods that mess with the gameplay and that could be the reason cause it works fine on my computer. It didn't at first but my graphics card was just meeting what I needed and it would crash. I upgraded the graphics card and it has been working great even with all the expantions. So make sure your computer can run it first before you buy it.
I was among the thousands of people who couldn't wait for this game to come out. I even had a count down widget on my myspace. When I received the game, I put it in and starting going at it. I quickly became bored. Don't get me wrong the game is wonderful. But the customizability is horrible. There aren't many choices of hair styles, clothing, facial features, make up, nothing. Its all horribly dated looking. The characters no longer look real, and the furniture selection was lacking as well. Pros: Wonderful graphics (if you have a pc that can run it properly), great new features (knick knacks, triplets, character flaws and quirks, Lovely building designs. Cons: No Aliens, the sims are not as beautiful as they were in sims2, clothes/furniture/makeup etc horriblly limited. You also lose the ability to "shop" with your sim. Overall I'd give this game a 3.8
Not alot of objects to choose from as far as furniture and things. I know the more expansion packs you buy you get these things, but didnt seem like alot compared to Sims 2.
