Came fast, works great. Very large, would hold a big turkey or roast, if you are not a vegetarian like me. Right now I'd rate it a 4.5. I have only had it 2 weeks. I am hopeful it will remain working well. I will update durability later, if needed. It has several buttons I will not need, and one button that I really miss -- no special defrost button. You have to push the power level setting 6 times to get down to 3, for defrosting. They could have left off the popcorn button and added a defrost, and it would have been perfect, a 5.
I bought this microwave to replace an old Panasonic. I selected it because it was highly rated for quality and reliability on web sources I consulted. I don't use it for much more than reheating or defrosting so some of the extra features are wasted on me. The feature I could live without is the message "Enjoy Your Meal" that appears after each process is complete. And it's huge. I wish I'd checked the dimensions and purchased a smaller unit, although this one fits on the tabletop where it rests. I chose the free Site-to-Store option and was pleased to be notified that the microwave had come in within a couple of days. Everyone at WalMart was courteous and helpful--one employee leaving for the day even helped me put it in the trunk.
I've had/used many different microwaves, and this one is the very best! It is comparable in size to other mircowaves until you open the door. The interior is HUGE!! I can cook/warm up multiple items at once (the glass turntable is 16.5 inches in diameter!). It is easy to operate, clean, and is quiet while running. It is also more powerful than other microwaves I've used, so cook for less time than you're used to using!! For example, mircowave popcorn takes two and a half minutes for the first bag rather than the usual 3 minutes for other microwaves. If you are popping another bag right away, use even less time! In short, I love it!!
This microwave is great. It is replacing a Kenmore that I had for 25 years. If you are wanting a full size this is the one. The features that it has are numerous. I researched microwave ovens before settling on this one due to the reviews of several others that had purchase it. It recieved 4.8 out of 5 average.
Rated high by Consumer Search and has all the features I was looking for.
I would recommend it to anyone. Very large and powerful. Cooks faster than any other we have used. You need to have adequate space, but you can use a 9X13 pan in it as well as taller items. You have to press start after all selections, which has pros and cons. There is a good selection of changeable features. The control pad is not a perfect design, but is easy to use. However, it is noisier than our previous Sharp and the turntable rattles a little.
We had to replace an older version of this microwave. I think we killed it when we ran it for 4 minutes without anything in it. After 12 years we got great value from the old one. The Quality was very good. The new one is even better and we like the extra height. The warming function, sensor heat and control is great. We also find the new one a little faster even though the old one had 1200 watts vs 1250.
It was better, bigger, and cheaper than anything we saw in Walmart or anywhere else we looked for microwaves
REPLACED A SHARP THAT FELL APART IN 4 YEARS MY OLD PANASONIC MICROWAVE LASTED 15 YEARS. THIS ONE HAS ALL THE FEATURES YOU CAN GET AND THEY WORK WELL. SENSOR COOKING IS GREAT TAKES THE GUESSWORK OUT. WORKS ON FOOD GETTING HOT AND GIVING OFF MOISTURE. SO WARM, REHEAT, COOK WORKS WELL.
I bought this microwave to replace our old one which had lasted over 20 years. I wanted something similar in size and researched different brands and read reviews. This one seemed to have pleased people the most and the price was reasonable, but after using it for almost two months the thing died. I would put a cup of water in and it would run for about 20 seconds, beep, and give me an H97 error code. Found out this is a common problem with the new inverter microwave technology. Don't know if I want another microwave. Maybe I'll just go back to heating with fire like in the old days, at least when that dies I'll know how to fix it. Hate the thought of having to haul this thing back to the store too.
