I have three dogs, and last month they had really bad fleas. I used sergeants flea shampoo but the fleas did not seem to die after the bath. And they still scratch all day due to fleas still being alive. This month I noticed they once again infested with fleas, unbelievable amount of fleas all over their bodies. I decided to used hartz flea shampoo and the instant I rinsed the shampoo off my dogs, the fleas were coming off their bodies. I was amazed to see all the fleas just falling off into the tub. It has been 1 week since I used this shampoo and I have noticed a big change. My dogs are not constantly scratching or wimpering due to the fleas. Even after 2 days dead fleas were coming off them while I brushed them. This shampoo really works and is effective. This brand of shampoo works better than the others. I am happy to finally find a product that is effective, and my dogs seem a lot happier, energetic, too. Im relieved to see them playing now and not constantly scratching. I am extremely happy with this product, not only is it a good price but very effective.
Awesome for the price the street give my dogs flees I tried a lot of thing but this shampoo combined with the Walmart generic flee drops my dogs are flee free 4 weeks later they look and smell good I know my 2 dogs are love life. I got a little shampo in my pups eyes I noticed right after I cleaned them that it didn't irritate there eyes made bathing them a lot easier than expected.

Well, I had a dog that was found out in the woods. She was a papillon. The lady told us she was a healthy dog. When we got her, she was skin and bones,scared,and Fleas were crawling all over the cage. When my dad put in her in the tub with tht shampoo, fleas slowly cover the water surface. before he even starting scrubbing. Wonderful, we've fattened her up and she occasionally has fleas, but not bad as before!
We have been carrying Hartz Rid Flea shampoo from USA to India whenever we visit and all our 11 dogs are always happily free from fleas and ticks.
Doesn't smell too strong or anything out of the ordinary of how a dog should smell. My dog had a few fleas but now they're gone! Great product! :)
My dog now knows the smell as soon as I grab the bottle!! One request, the bottle is extremely slippery when wet, can it get some grip on the sides to make washing the dog a little easier!?
Do not use! This caused seizures and vomiting in 2 pups of mine, an hour after bath. One passed away from seizures this morning, the other is doing better. This is literally pesticide n even says on back, minimal skin contact with humans.. it's super dangerous and warning signs or so small almost unreadable.
A friend gave me a bottle of this shampoo to try on my dogs. I followed the directions and was disappointed to find that within 24 hours fleas were back on the dogs. Sure, the shampoo killed the fleas on contact, but once rinsed away there was no repellant action. Not worth whatever price is paid in stores.
I have used this shampoo on my poodle a couple of days ago and there are still fleas running around on him. While this kills the fleas that are on him, fleas can still jump on him and it starts all over again. The only way to get the fleas off is to get the Frontline or Advantage 2 products, which are a bit expensive. This shampoo is only a temporary fix...and it doesn't continue working.
