its a little cute hind away for my cats. Something to do or another place to hang out. Very cute and they like it.
So..I ordered the chocolate colored cat condo. When picking up the item at the store, the box had the right color on the outside but inside it was blue. Fine...blue it ok. Then I start to put it together and realize it is upside down, the fabric!. So, I then have to take it all apart and put it back together again. The hole where you place the scratch pole, was off center...needed to cover that up with a glued toy. Then the toy that hangs off the top is nothing like pictured! It is a piece of carpet with glued on eyes. Needed to change that out as well, made it look really cheap!
When my kittens were young they loved mainly sleeping and playing in the condo but after two months old they don't play with it. It looks bigger in the picture than real life. The faux fur is thin and the screw shows through the top. The cat toy stayed on securely but a ring in the tunnel snapped. It was easy to put together and is made from particle board (not heavier plywood). The tunnel is useless but the condo is a good idea however as cats age they prefer being up high. I recommend spending your money on a big plywood cat tree/tower with built in condo your cats will get more use out of and enjoy for a long time.
I opened the box an saw what appeared to be a great kitty condo but was very disappointed when I could not put it together. There were NO directions! I still can't figure out how to attach the scratching post to the condo, it's missing the screw to attach the scratching post or it's hidden somewhere...very disappointed that there are no directions for this item. :/
Well i received mine and it was beige with brown trim opposite of what is on the box. i thought a screw was missing but you have to unscrew the bottom of the scratch post where the washer is to get the other screw out. there were not any directions that came with it. the round top of the scratch post isn't as wide as i thought and my 12pd cat is too big for it, plus you can feel the middle screw and it wasn't padded, it just has the carpet cover on it and i'm pretty sure a cat would be able to feel it and that would be uncomfortable. the tunnel is pretty small too. this would be okay for a kittens, younger cats, and thin older ones but i think you would have to remove the carpet cover on the round top of the scratch post and add some padding to it. I'm probably going to return it or give it to someone with a kitten. My cat was more interested in the box that it came in then the product.
