As soon as it arrived I plugged it in and have enjoyed it since. I read the reviews which helped me understand the sound quality so I wasn't expecting a lot of bass but I was very impressed when I heard the sound quality for myself. It sounds amazing! I did notice more bass depending on the song. It only docks iPhone 4-4s but I used Bluetooth and it sync my iPhone 5 in less than 2 minutes. We were even able to Bluetooth through the PS3. The LED color changing is amazing as well. It has so many options of color schemes. The colors even change to the beat of the music. I'm going to purchase another one for a gift because we all love it.
I got the IHome LED Color Changing Tower Stereo for my middle school daughter. She loves it. She was able to use it right away by reading the instructions by herself. She loves impressing her friends with the changing lights to the beats of her music.
Don't let the pictures fool you. This is a full on speaker tower and stands about 3 feet tall! The unit comes with a wall charger and a remote control and can be used as a dock for older iphone models or you can bluetooth your iphone 5 or any other bluetooth compatible device. It puts out great sound and is more than enough to fill a room for a gathering. It also has different light settings which makes it a fun, conversational piece for entertaining. This was the lowest price I could find anywhere and with free shipping, this item is a steal!
We bought this for our seven year old son who loves music but has challenges keeping his I-pod charged & located. The tower speaker was a good way to solve both issues. The price seemed a little high but the speaker had the functions we were looking for including (I-pod docking, Blue Tooth, remote, audio in, RCA outs, and led lights). The sound quality is much better than what I was expecting. Its not a "Bose" but its good clear sound. Its loud enough and there is even a little bit of bass. You can dock your I-pod and use the controls on the unit or use the remote control. The unit has a handy place to store the remote on the back of the unit. You can also use the blue tooth and then control the music/sound from your I-pod. The LED lights are fun and there are several combinations of colors etc. You can set the lights to strobe, beat with the music, or face in & out. Set up is easy and controls are easy enough for a 7 year old to figure out. The entire family has ended up using this speaker mostly utilizing the blue tooth control. I would buy this product again and recommend to a friend.
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 11yr old son. We set it up in 5 min and it works great. Love the light effects and it has a terrific sound.
Love it, sitting here watching tv at the moment, but my LED Tower Speaker is beside my chair calmly shifting through it's colors. I'm impressed with the sound when I'm playing my iPhone or IPod through it. It works as advertised, looks nice, and sounds nice. The range on the included remote is not all that great but doesn't matter to me as I've already programmed my primary remote with the Ihome IR signals.
My 17 yr old loves this. Easy to set up. My only complaint is it could be louder. It's perfect for a teenagers bedroom.
This is just a fun, cool speaker! Initially I was disappointed that my iphone 5 would not plug in to it because it must have been made before they came out. Which is probably why it was 1/2 price. I thought, why wasn't that fact indicated in the description somewhere! Well, now I'm glad it wasn't because I might not have purchased it and would have missed out. It works just fine with my phones Bluetooth and I love it! The light show makes me happy:) The sound is not the best in the world but if you don't need a speaker that rocks the house and wakes the neighbors this will be fine.
Very nice looking speaker with good sound and fairly adequate base. A little concerned it might blow after a few months but if not pressed to high, might last. LED colors are amazing. Pretty close on matching beats/pulse. My only gripe is that with my IPHONE 5, some of the music stops or skips pretty often -- I have to assume this is due to some interruption going on with the Bluetooth xfer because it never skips when I play music with IPHONE 4 via bluetooth. No problems if directly connected just be sure you buy the IPHONE 4 to 5 adapter if u wanna use an IPHONE 5 w/ the charger. Hooked up nicely to TV so we can play IPHONE movies straight to TV and hear the sound via IHOME speakers. Also has a line in so we plugged the XBOX up to this IHOME and that sounds really nice too. Overall a good speaker for the $.
I purchased this for my niece whose father then decided to upgrade her iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5 so she could only use this through bluetooth. The point if paying nearly a $100 for this tower was so that her phone could charge while listening to music but her new iPhone doesn't fit so it defeats that purpose. For the price of "i" products they should be able to adapt. My other nieces iPod does not fit this either. . . . The tower itself is nice and my niece likes how it changes color. The sound is pretty good and the remote is convenient.
