Just bought it yesterday. I put it together by myself. Front and back lights work great. Very bright hologen head light and a lot of different light settings on the back light. Again, Very bright. The Lights are as steady as rock. No shaking. Just very solid. Love it, VERY, VERY happy with this product. You can't beat the price.

Very easy to install - looks trendy - and convenient enough for a kid to operate (switch on or off). A nice touch to have 3 different modes for the rear red light e.g. steady on or blinking in different modes. The front one seem to be easy to unhook and use as a convenient handy torch (flashlight). It is not powerful for adults biking in jungle area - but enough for a kid or in suburb settings where the idea is that cars can see the bike coming. If there was one improvement I could suggest, I would ask them to make it least the rear light motion-sensor, i.e. auto power on when it senses motion even. It helps if the kid cycling at night forgets to power the rear light on. Drawback - no battery level indicator. So keep a spare battery available if venturing off-road with this. Otherwise seems reliable - but we have not tested that aspect - to be truthful, my kid used it only to show off as a cool accessory on his new cool bike around dusk, as he is not allowed to bike at nighttime for safety concerns.

I moved up from weekender bicyclist to sporadic commuter during week so I needed lighting for predawn riding for safety. The product was very well priced and it does what I needed it to do however, the headlight can use a little more lighting power. The taillight offers a choice of light functions and offers excellent safety value. The batteries hold up well. Overall, this was a good choice for the price.

I think I wasted my money on this one. the tail light is excellent. the head light is worthless. less than 3 miles and it was so dim there was no need to even have it.

Recommend, But...

I've had this set for more than 3 years, and it's durable and dependable. But, the headlight is a safety light for others to see you. It is not bright enough to provide useful illumination for the rider, especially on dark roads or paths. If you need a bright headlight, you'll need to spend $20 or more.

Inexpensive, but Breaks off too Easily

OK, I am being a little hard on this product. I biked to work for about a year (in Chicago, so it's not like I was going over rough terrain), and the longest I got one of these to last was about 2 days before it would snap off at the clip. The problem is that the plastic at the base is too brittle, and the weight is balanced too far foward on the light, so a few good hard bumps and the whole thing snaps off and goes flying. On the other hand, I have snapped it off into a puddle of water at full tilt, and it still worked. The rear blinker is ok, though, and battery life and durability are decent. Overall, I would highly recommend you get an LED headlight designed for cycling, unless this is just for your 8 year-old. In that case, it should be fine.

front light not practical

The rear light is great although I feel it could fall off the bike and be lost. That hasn't happened yet. The front light was installed and ready for use. When the time came to use it, it didn't work! Very short battery life as we simply tested it a couple of times. It was not working on our first night ride! Costly to replace batteries and I would return it if It wasn't already installed and a hassle to remove and return both lights. I do really like the rear light.

the head light works well enough in brightness--haven't had time to tell about battery life--but the tailight had to be placed below the reflector on my daughter's bike and it was pushed downward just slightly --in 2 weeks the bracket had snapped in half ..i would consider bracket worthless and the tailight needs an adjustable (swivel type perhaps)bracket to fit on more than one type bar.

I bought this product because I do A LOT of early morning riding. The tail light is AWESOME. Very bright and the variable settings (blink, strobe, solid) are wonderful. With that being said, the headlight is useless. Its flimsy plastic casing feels very cheap and doesn't feel like it could withstand a ride in the rain. (and who doesn't occasionally find themselves riding through a storm?) The headlight is so dim, it's completely useless in the early morning ride. Save your money and find a better product than this one. I'm going to keep the tail light, but I'm still looking for a good headlight.

Head Light doesn't fit ALL bikes

Most bike product I have purchased adjust so that the product may fit almost all bike. The headlight mount is larger then the handle bars and that is we tried three different bikes. Also the product I recieved looks nothing like the product shown on the site.
