I purchased another cheaper brand from another online retailer previous to me purchasing the summer infant retractable gate and it broke before I even got it hung on the wall. Plus the installation was complicated compared to this one! So far I'm super pleased with this product!
This retractable gate is very easy to install and super easy/convenient to use! We have the regular baby gate made of metal and it is just too bulky and occupied a lot of space. This retractable gate solves that problem! Highly recommended!
I absolutely love this infant gate. I use it for my small dog to keep her from going up the stairs. It works very well and is quite sturdy. The locking mechanism is nice and the baseboard spacers (included) worked perfectly for the stairs. Great product! Worth the money!
I love this gate primarily because it's retractable. It's not bulky, easy to use and easy to install. It's sleek in design and durable. Highly recommend a retractable gate, especially if you have a little one and you have pets. This way, you can allow your pets to still have the run of the house if needed and a regular baby gate isn't blocking them.
Saw this baby gate on another site and was ready to purchase until I noticed Walmart sold it online for almost $20 cheaper, I was sold! My handy husband attached it to the bottom of our staircase to keep kids from going up it and falling down. When we don't need to use it its out of the way and easier for us to walk up and down without opening a baby gate door every time.
Great gate. Easy to install and use. We installed it at the top of our steps to keep our dogs downstairs. They have conquered many gates, but not this one.
I bought this to replace the gate I had been using. I got tired of putting the gate up and down and then having it placed along the wall while it wasn't in use. This retractable gate was just what I needed. It was easy to install and not in the way when not in use. By the way, I bought it to use for my dogs! Works great!
I have two Maltese and of course there are rooms in which i would not lilke them to go. The Gates work perfect ... I have one in the doorway of the master bath and another at the door to the master bedroom. I hate having to close doors just because of the dogs ... So now everyone is happy . I can keep the dogs where I want them and still see the entire house.
I like this gate - I have one outside at the bottom of the stairs to keep kids from going up them. I bought one for the bottom of the staircase inside. I like these kind of retractable gates because there is no bottom rail to trip over. However I open and close it all the time going up and down, have a dog who likes to look over the gate, which sags even when in lock position. I have had it a month now, and just yesterday a tear showed up near the top, so it no longer completely retracts. Obviously it is not a thick or durable material. It is good - unless you use it a lot like I do.
I like how it rolls out of the way and does not have a gate door in the way but it does not roll smoothly and it is not one handed or easy to open or close.
